Perfect Exuma beach stay. House is just what we were looking for. Easily located in town but once in house and on the beach very private. Beautiful beach just walk right into the Crystal clear water. No rocks or seaweed. We visited numerous beaches but always said right where we were stay was the best!!

Driftwood Condos are in a great central location on the island, and the view of Hooper’s Bay is breathtaking. Lidia and Eric are such a sweet couple. They reached out prior to our trip to see if we had any questions. Once we arrived, they gave us a quick tour of the property. They had everything we could possibly need, from beach towels and bug spray to kayaks and snorkeling gear. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Driftwood Condos was beautiful. The view and access to Hooper's Bay is perfection. The condo was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well. WiFi was also very good. We've stayed in Exuma before and the WiFi at a different VRBO was weak. The condo is the perfect size for a family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking a few meals and packing lunches for your adventures. Eric and Lidia were so kind - when I got a low tire pressure light on the rental car, Eric used his air compressor to check pressure and air up all 4 tires. Condo is well stocked with floats, snorkel gear, chairs, paddleboard, kayaks - everything you need to enjoy the beach to the fullest. The only downside was we wish we had more time to enjoy!

Eric and Lidia the owners have an amazing rental locatiion. The apartment was extremely clean and well equipped. She gave a tour of the apartment, how things worked, and everything was perfect. The views of Hooper's Bay were vast and mesmerizing. It was so relaxing there we struggled to stay awake until 9:00 each night! The location is also great for getting to Georgetown, restaurants, and golf. I highly recommend this rental.

Lidia & Eric were beyond welcoming & accommodating - even providing us coffee before we had a chance to grocery shop! Very clean space with everything you need from kitchen utensils to beach gear. We stayed at Driftwood Condos for a week. The house is located on a beautiful beach where you can swim with turtles. Our kids were just in love with the place.
The apartment we were staying at had an amazing view, was very clean and fully equipped with everything you would need during your vacation.

We have stayed in many places all over exuma and this place is our favorite by far! Lidia and Eric were incredible hosts and the beach is the most beautiful you will find in all of exuma. Just a short walk to the turtles, the beach is calm, relatively quiet and the place is adorable. It had great AC, all the kitchen stuff you’ll need and is clean and incredibly comfortable. We will be back 100%!

We had an amazing stay at the Driftwood condos. Lydia and Eric were more than helpful. The condo was very clean, fully equipped with with everything you could need, right on the beach with the most beautiful view you could imagine. We love hoopers bay and seeing the turtles everyday. Just fabulous! From the beach to the property everything was spot on. Meeting Lidia & Eric was such a joy. They were helpful and so nice. Peaceful beach and the chairs and hammocks were yummy.

We had a wonderful two week stay at Driftwood Condos! Eric and Lidia were the perfect hosts and so helpful. The condo was equipped with everything we needed. We loved the layout of the condo and the large porch. The beautiful beach was only steps away. We loved walking the beach and watching the turtles. We enjoyed the kayaks and the shaded area reserved for Driftwood guests. We will definitely return!

This property is perfectly pictured and described. Absolutely stunning views, your own private beach. It's amazing. What you can't see is how clean it is when you arrive and how lovely Lidia and Eric are. They are incredibly kindhearted and interesting people who want their guests to have the best vacation possible. I could not ask for more from a property or from a host. We enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle board and the calm bay with daily turtle sightings. Beauty abound!!

We booked the lower level at Driftwood at the last minute (5 days before our trip!) because the place we originally booked had a roof leak. What luck!
The condo had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. (It’s nice not having a sore back every day, as often happens on vacation). If you’re a light sleeper, try to get the upper floor. The people above us weren’t loud, but they did walk heavily and got up at 5:30am every morning… we came home from vacation very relaxed but not exactly well-rested!
We spent a lot of time on the porch listening to the waves in the evenings, but bring your (really strong) bug spray! We enjoyed leaving the patio doors open for the cross-breeze and to listen to the waves at night, but ended up having to use the air conditioner more than we would have liked as there were some holes in some of the screens and the bugs found their way inside.
Most importantly, the condo is right on the beach with an amazing view. The clearest, bluest water we’ve ever seen. The public beach access is right beside the condo so some days the beach got a bit busy with people coming and going to see the turtles, but we almost always had the beach in front of the condo to ourselves. And we didn’t feel the need to check out any other beaches on the island because we had perfection at our back door. You know you have a good thing when people walking by ask you for the name of the place you’re staying at!
Eric and Lidia were great hosts. We had fresh papaya off their trees and they were there to answer any questions we had and suggest things to do on the island or just chat. They also picked us up a few groceries since we arrived on a Sunday.
Best vacation we’ve had in a long time and we look forward to returning to the Exumas and Driftwood condos again!

We had the most amazing trip! Eric and Lidia were wonderful hosts. They met us at the condo and gave us a tour. The location can’t be beat! We walked to see the turtles almost daily. The view was amazing. The water was calm and the beach area was perfection. I can’t say enough nice things about our visit! It was perfect and we will definitely be back!!

The most gorgeous beach ever! With sea turtles!!!
Our group has been all over the world, southern US beaches, Mexico, Caribbean, Caymans, Virgin Islands, Australia, Fiji...no place has this clear, beautiful, turquoise water! Closest is Fiji. The sand is soft and light tan, no rocks at this location. Palm trees for shade. PERFECT!

Expectations Exceeded at Driftwood Condos
Eric and Lidia are beyond premier hosts! I've never stayed any place with such exceptional communication and care for us before and during our stay. The condo is very clean and well appointed but the best feature is the large patios available to guests to enjoy the exceptional view of Hooper's Bay. If you aren't familiar, Hooper's Bay is a great place to see lots of turtles. The condo is steps from the beach, and there is a great private area with chairs and a hammock by the beach. There are ample floats, kayaks, snorkeling gear etc. provided with the rental that my son and his girlfriend really enjoyed. It almost seemed too good to be true that Eric was willing to take time out of his day to take us to local snorkeling spots, introduce us to sailing and give us tips on sites to see and restaurants to try. This was much appreciated. Trust me, I've been a lot of places on beaches, and this is one of the best in my opinion. We will be back and recommend this property to our friends.

We really enjoyed our stay and Lidia and Eric are great hosts! Eric went out of his way to help us enjoy our stay! They were great at communicating with us before and during our stay. I highly recommend the condo. The beach is world class. Try to book the upstairs until, because the noise from above can be a bit much.

The PERFECT Vacation!
We cannot say enough great things about this property and trip! From start to finish everything was amazing! Eric and Lidia were such gracious hosts - they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Eric took us snorkeling and let us cut down coconuts from one of his trees. Lidia was always available to chat and answer any questions we had.
The ocean views and beach on this property are unmatched. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The water was calm, shallow, and crystal clear.
This trip was beyond anything we could’ve dreamed, and we will definitely come back and will stay at Driftwood Condos!

Hidden gem!
The stay was beyond amazing!! From the amazing private beach to the most cherished hosts and next door neighbors and owners, Eric and Lidia, we couldn’t have asked for more. 1000% a hidden gem to which I hesitantly write as I fear it’s growth in popularity will inhibit my ability to return many times over. A true treasure…I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised as to how idyllic, perfect and hospitable the hosts are to their beloved Exuma retreat. 5 star recommendation. 2 thumbs up. Don’t hesitate—book it before it becomes know and the prices skyrocket. Best vacation retreat I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at.

Perfect Location, Perfect View, Perfect Host, Perfect Trip
This condo was perfect for our group of 4 (two couples). Everything worked as it should. Close to the Airport, restaurants, other towns, excursions and attractions, markets, and other beaches. The Air Conditioning worked in every room, all appliances worked (and they have everything you need), plenty of hot water, beds were comfortable, indoor and outdoor furniture was very nice, and the balcony and porch were a very nice size. Plus, the host live on the same property.
Speaking of the host, they are outstanding! Like I said they live on the same property as the condos. They give you all the privacy you want but are available to answer questions or give you recommendations very quickly. They were so kind and helpful and really were happy to chat with you if you wanted to. They were very knowledgeable about the island and did the absolute most to ensure you were comfortable. At our request they even stocked our condo with some groceries before we came.
The beach is perfect! The condos have direct access to the beach. I’ve been to many beaches all over the US and the Caribbean, nothing compares to Hoopers bay. The water and sand is indescribable. And the sea turtles are not hard to find.
The island itself is very laid back. Not a party island which was perfect for us. The people there are very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of markets if you want to cook for yourself and plenty of excellent restaurants and “bars” (“bars” in quotes because these places are VERY laid back, these are not party zones. Saw a few groups of spring breaker types trying to “party” and it fizzled out quick) if you want to dine out. We did not have a single bad experience with restaurants or “bars” and we went to most of them.
All and all this property is fantastic. We have no complaints and we are 100% satisfied. We have already picked our dates for next year and are excited to bring more friends and family along. I highly recommend this property and cannot wait to return.

The perfect getaway
If this property is available, book it immediately (unless you're planning on taking the weeks we want to return). You will not find a better view for the price anywhere. The condo is perfectly situated and has everything you need. Eric and Lidia are amazing hosts and go above and beyond the usual. One week was not enough and we will be back!

Best family vacation EVER!
This was our first trip to Exuma and definitely will not be our last! Seeing sea turtles in Hoopers Bay, kayaking, walking out on the porch to a spectacular ocean view, the wonderfully helpful and friendly locals, the crystal blue waters- WOW! The property was clean and so fitting for a relaxing beach stay for our family. The kids were in non-stop motion on the beach which made for even easier evenings when they ran out of energy :) Eric and Lidia (property owners) made our stay even more wonderful. They went above and beyond to take great care of us and know so much about the island. We feel in love with Exuma on this trip and made some wonderful friends in our gracious hosts, Lidia and Eric.

A wonderful escape…
Hubby & I booked this trip on a whim. We had been waiting for COVID to die down and had taken a break from traveling. It finally got to the point where we gave up. We truly needed a vacation.
From booking, to check in, to our stay and checking out. All was WONDERFUL! This was our 2nd time to Exuma and when we return, we will stay here again! Lidia & Eric were most sweet, caring & truly helpful! This location and house itself are unbeatable. If looking for a romantic getaway or family trip, this is your place!

Christmas in the Exumas
This was a fabulous condo! You can't beat the location and convenience. The beach directly in front of the house is the most beautiful beach on the island. Lidia and Eric were so nice and extremely helpful before and during our stay. This condo met all of our expectations during our trip. The condo was extremely comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need. We look forward to returning to this condo and to the Exumas!!!

Great spot
We had a great trip- Lidia and Eric are very nice and helpful, the unit is very clean and has a great view over the immaculately turquoise hoopers bay. You can feed turtles just down the beach from the villa. We enjoyed eating on the balcony with a great view. You are centrally located to all the spots you will be driving to both north and south (we recommend a car no matter where you stay since there are so many places to explore). For example boat tours are 40min north, cocoplum beach is 30min north, while Georgetown is 5min south (rent your own boat at minns water sports!), and pretty molly, Forbes hill, and Tropic of Cancer beach are all south 25-35min. No ugly surprises with this rental- go for it!

The best rental property in Exuma
I have rented several properties in Exuma on Hooper's Bay. This far surpassed all of them. The owners are wonderful and far exceeded our expectations. They were so helpful if we had any question they were right nearby to answer them. We have decided to make Driftwood our home away from home from now on. Beautiful stay in Exuma
Great property and hosts. Condo was just right for us. Beautiful porch, deck, and a shaded beachside lounge area. Note- quite a long stairway to and from the beach but it was well appointed with lighting and stair rails. The beach area with lounge chairs and hammocks was beautifully planted and shaded by tall palms.
The bay itself is like a huge gentle swimming pool with some of the best water in the islands!
The hosts were very helpful with local connections to sights and transportation. They furnish a comprehensive guide to the area!
The location is just minutes from Georgetown and nearby grocery stores,
The best indicator is we will want to stay here again!

Terrific condo!
My wife and I stayed in Lidia and Eric’s condo in June and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The condo is very comfortable and inviting and the pictures of the view don’t even begin to do it justice. Hoopers Bay ended up being our favorite beach in Exuma and luckily it was right outside our rental, so we spent a great deal of time there swimming with the turtles and relaxing in the unbelievably blue and warm water or at the condos private shaded area underneath the palm trees. Eric and Lidia were both very nice people, and were happy to be as helpful as you needed or to leave you to yourself if you prefer. They thought of everything. The condo, despite being a split level with an identical condo above, felt extremely private, and we barely even saw or heard the people staying above.
When we return to Exuma, we hope to stay at this same condo again.

Superb Experience!
This is more than just a vacation, it's an experience. Eric and Lidia offer true hospitality as they are there when you arrive, check in often, and help make your trip memorable. Eric personally took us sailing and to a nice snorkeling spot. Their condo really is located on the best area of the island. Booking on these sites can be a bit nerve racking but you won't regret this condo.

Amazing VRBO Rental in Exuma
LOCATION!!! Wish I could give extra STARS for this review. Eric and Lidia are awesome owners who live next door in their house -- they go above beyond to make your stay perfect. This Hoopers Bay rental is on the beach overlooking the water from a high perch; 2 bedroom / 2 bath, large covered porch, kitchen has all you need (but is not granite /gourmet); AC works well (3 separate units), dishwasher, large gas BBQ grill, WIFI works well, parking, in-room safe, and full size W/D (soap is provided). The bldg has 2 units (top & bottom) – we stayed in the bottom unit. Now the fun part on why this place is so awesome: 4 kayaks, 1 paddle board, floating tubes, beach towels provided, water/beach within 30 seconds, mile long beach with fine and soft sand, zero rocks on the beach/water, clear blue water, lots of lounge chairs at the beach, 2 hammocks at the beach, outside showers, the beach in front of the rental has a private 220 foot shoreline area only for the rental; the private beach has a ton of shade (no need for canopies). At the beach in front of the rental we saw turtles, nurse sharks, string rays, and star fish. The unit has a water cooler and Eric will bring for free all the 5 gallon water bottles you need. Now for the BEST part – the owners Eric and Lidia -- even though their house is 30 feet from the rental they are not overbearing and will interact with you as much as you want – but we took Eric up on his many offers and suggestions. Eric took our 2 college age kids sailing the first day to Stocking Island, he took us and swam with us at the hidden inland BLUE hole, took us snorkeling at a secret location 5 minutes away, gave us recommendations for beaches to visit: Coco Plum (unbelievable), Butters (won’t find on any map), Hodges, and Tropic of Cancer. There are small grocery stores and Prime Island Meats within minutes of the rental; prices are higher than the US but not too bad, but the selections are limited. We brought dry goods/food with us (nuts, crackers, cookies, pasta, powered drink mixes, etc). Bring lots of sunscreen (it is pricy w/ limited selection). We rented a car from Thompsons Car rent. We took the half day Exuma Water Sports tour to see the pigs, rays, iguanas, and private islands/cays (our guides were Ty and Greg – would easily do the tour again). We have been to Cozumel, Cabo, Hawaii, Europe, and we can easily say EXUMA rocks and this VRBO is one of the best. This VRBO will not disappoint! Many thanks Eric and Lidia.
