Villa Borchert is in a quiet location opposite the train station. The owners let us store our ebikes in a locked building. There was parking right outside the property. The room was comfortable and clean with plenty of crockery and utensils etc.

The property was quite a hike from the town and we were glad we had our ebikes with us. It was probably our fault that we had not noticed the sleeping arrangements in our specific room when we booked. The room was more like a bedsit than an apartment and the two beds were on a unit where we had to sleep head to head, not what we would recommend. However the price of the accommodation reflected this as it was very reasonable.

The house was very nice and clean. The host was amazing and friendly. We had our privacy without any disturbance.

In the fine print: the hotel requests that you bring your own towels. They should make that more explicit during the booking process.

Nice room, perfectly equipped kitchen, silent area, easy access to the town centre. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Wi-fi only in the bathroom.

The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was spacious. It's also right off the main street and across from the bus stop which takes you into town and around Wernigerode. There is a decent kitchen with a decent size fridge, an electric range/oven so you can cook meals which has a good sized fridge and a range/oven.

The WIFI is terrible. We stayed in apartment 4 and the only spot that you could get good WIFI was by sitting at the door entrance to the apartment in the bedroom. We could not stream anything even by sitting on chairs next to the door. The other issue we found was there was no washing machine and Wernigerode does not have a laundromat so we had to travel to Braunschweig to do our laundry since we were staying there for almost two weeks. If you need to do laundry, then this is a definite drawback. The decor is a bit 1980's mauve and cream but overall the place is a good buy for the money UNLESS you depend upon WIFI.
