Friendly staff and a good room

The shower did not have a proper shower head

For a two star hotel I didn´t have big expectation - so I really liked it. The breakfast was excelent, everything I needed and capucino was even included in the price - I love that. The guest kitchen was really nice and cosy. The location is perfect - easy to take the bus to all the skiing places I wanted to visit. . It is a VERY good value for the money. The staff was very helpful and nice. I will be back. Thank you.

I really liked everything compare to a two star hostel.

Zentrale Lage in Lillehammer, fußläufig von allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Parkplätze zu geringen Kosten direkt hinter dem Hotel. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Besonders angenehm bleibt uns dagegen das Frühstücksbuffet in Erinnerung. Für ein 2-Sterne-Hotel war es überragend und die Atmosphäre im Frühstücksbereich sehr angenehm.

Zimmer (Familienzimmer mit 1 Doppelbett und 1 Etagenbett) eher klein. Kein Fernseher. Badezimmer leider wenig einladend und im Stil einer Bahnhofstoilette. Unangenehmer Geruch aus dem Duschabfluss. Allerdings wurde uns auf unsere Beschwerde hin als Kompensation sofort ein zusätzliches Zimmer direkt nebenan zur Verfügung gestellt, so dass wir nicht gezwungen waren, die stinkende Dusche zu benutzen.

Rommet var stusselig, med gammeldags forheng i dusj, gammel vask med lite muligheter for å sette toalettsaker, ingen hylle-lite valgmuligheter på TV kanaler og den minste TV jeg har opplevd på et hotellrom. Rommet bar spartansk innredet. Frokosten var absolutt av det enkleste slaget- ikke verdt pengene!

Room at bus station side was very noisy with travellers voices most of the night. It was summer and we couldn't leave the window open. We requested a room at the train side the next night and it was much less noisy in spite of a few fairly quiet night trains. They also supplied a fan. It was appreciated. In winter it probably wouldn't have been a problem.

This is an excellent choice if you are using the train to get to Lillehamer and as your base for exploring the area. Buses stop outside to go to various ski/ hiking centres and the town centre is right there for restaurants and shopping. The included hot breakfast has lots of choice and my room was comfortable and quiet. The staff couldn't be more friendly and the tourist office in the station was very helpful. Great for arriving late or departing on an early train. There are lockers in the station, so on the final day, I was able to store my stuff in the morning, ski all day, then take a late train back to Oslo. If using buses to get to ski or hiking areas, download the Entur app for info and tickets. If over 67, it's half price. I found the staff, equipment and facilities at Nordseter Fjellpark Servicesenter located at the last stop on the Nordseter bus route, about 25 minutes ride, to be excellent and the nordic skiing from there is great.

Convenience - Hostel is part of the main station building. Breakfast - self-service with plenty of options.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They let us check in early and even stored our bags for us. The location was great because it is right there in the train station. A nice breakfast spread as well.

I felt like maybe it was a little expensive for what the room was, however, the friendliness of the staff made up for what the room lacked.

Hotel is in train and bus station so it was very convenient with luggages and to take buses till ski resorts. Staff and volunteers were very friendly.!

Great location, comfortable beds, good value for money, nice to have a kitchen available.

The art behind the bed was a bit intense.

The room was clean and nice considering the price. Location is just at the train station, pretty much same building and just a few minutes walk from the city centre. The only con I had when staying there is that they don't have night open reception (staff is on site, but on sleeping shift) and I had a bit trouble finding where to enter the building when coming back at night.
