Las Tobas casas rurales has three extremely well built, comfortable two bedroom single storey holiday gites for rent, all with some of the best views I've seen in Andalusia (and I go at least once a year to explore and satisfy my bird watching obsession). They're very private and incredibly well appointed with everything you could want from a home from home. Our host Amparo and her husband were kindness itself, incredibly friendly and informative. Couldn't ask for nicer hosts. The location is perfect for nature watching, walking, photography with many fabulous hill top towns (Alajar, Almonaster la Real etc) nearby, and the extraordinary caves in Aracena (lovely town). The whole area is famous for its delicious produce (iberico jamon, honey, cheese etc). Amparo even sells her own unprocessed honey in reception; I have never tasted anything like it! 5* :-) The night skies here are fabulous - very dark and so many stars. We sat on the gravel terrace every night, just staring into space. There are shaded areas, outside eating area, deck chairs, a log fire for colder evenings as well as air conditioning. There is a swimming pool for guests to use which looked very inviting but as it was April we didn't try it (despite it being 30 degrees). I can't wait to go back.

Exceptionally clean in a beautiful tranquil location, everything was perfect!

Nothing I didn’t like but be aware there is no oven, there is a hob, a microwave and a barbecue which was perfect for our stay.

The house was extremely comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. We had a very warm welcome, and despite language barrier, the walk through & information was very nice. This property is in a lovely rural area of the Sierra hills, nice distance to historic villages & shops. Surrounded by Cork & Olive trees, close to great walking trails. Highly recommend Las Tobas as a relaxing retreat.

Totally amazing place - perfect location, breathtaking views, peace and quiet. Wonderful trekking paths around. Very comfortable and clean house, well-equipped. Charming, extremely nice and very helpful owners (they surprised me with a nice birthday gift). It was an amazing and very relaxing holiday - one of the best ever :) Amparo & Rafael - thanks a lot :).

Absolutely nothing!

We loved the rural location with stunning views and how peaceful it was. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with good facilities.

A little more information in English about the local area and its facilities,(shop, restaurant opening times etc ), as these were rather vague, making it difficult to buy provisions or plan where to eat in the evenings. The local village of Higuerra has very limited amenities for the visitor, but Aracena a short drive further on is of more interest.
