Nice building gone to waste.
Junkies and drunks swarm the building at all hours. Felt very unsafe. I was planning to go for a meal before bed but ordered takeaway instead - even going out to meet the delivery driver felt risky! This is surely a halfway house in the guise of a hotel. I booked in a rush but had I known the bathroom/toilet is shared, I’d have never booked it. So couldn’t shower either. Noisy all night. The most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. Shame I can’t upload videos so people can hear the springs as I sit on the bed. Still have a backache from sleeping on it. It felt like house arrest. In the morning, I dropped the keys off at ‘reception’ and left without breakfast (safe to assume that would have been the death of me!).

Good value for money, superb breakfast included.
Tea and coffee facilities in rooms.
Available car parking.
Room does not come with ensuite, but 2 bathrooms close to hand.
Mattress could have been a little more comfortable but that's personal preference.
3.4
Clean and pleasant, well equipped room.
Double bed was less than 4 feet wide (measured at 46inches!) which was uncomfortably narrow, and we are not large people.

the reception gentleman is very nice, and breakfast is amazing. The room tidy and tasteful design, more than exception. The dinning hall has great view. I enjoyed reading a while there . There is a beautiful park nearby, enjoyed a walk before sunset.
There is nothing I didn’t like. Great experience

The host was very friendly and the breakfast was very delicious. The room was comfortable to stay in and the facilities were clean.
The location is a 35 min walk to the town centre, but it's not too bad.

friendly staff and made to feel welcome, lovely breakfast both meat and vegetation versions available
didn’t like the fact that we had to share bathroom and toilet but for the age of building it was expected and ok

Staff were friendly
Room was clean and tidy
Very noisy- no sound proofing. People running in and out of rooms, opening and shutting doors, talking loudly all night, finally got to sleep by 03:00 ish. Shared Bathroom was clean, but quite smelly.
Bed side lamp didn't work.

Very friendly helpful staff, Basic rooms but good value. Breakfast very nice. Good communication and were very helpful when my husband left his phone behind.
Didn't realise on booking it was shared bathrooms which let's it down.

this is possibly one of the worst hotels I have ever visited
we were greeted by a bloke in shabby clothes and trainers
we saw other guests who looked like drug addicts
the room was small and dingy
smelt awful and the bathroom was down the hall
the small print was about there being a a shared bathroom which we did not see
we asked for a refund as did not feel safe staying at the property and we were just served abuse instead
absolutely shocking

Just a one night stop over and left before breakfasts started so can't comment on food. Room was fine, clean and tidy with clean bedding and towels. Decent TV, microwave and fridge (didn't use either), tea & coffee sachets all good. CCTV on lit car park. Helpful chap on reception pointing us in the right direction to get a meal late on a Saturday night. It was a last minute booking and I didn't read the reviews of previous guests, so I was filled with trepidation, but everything was fine, no signs of the horror stories that others had posted and I'm generally quite fussy.
Shared bathroom / toilet facilities, in itself not a big issue but people using it in the night tends to disturb your sleep.

Very comfortable room clean and tidy fabulous host very accommodating with a superb breakfast would defiantly stay again A+
Great place to stay but unfortunately my room was by the front entrance so lots of noise but that said great accommodation I just suggest if you are a light sleeper as I am to ask for a quiet room but apart from that negative great stay

The staff and room were fine. Great breakfast selection and nice cleaner.
the hotel was currently housing displaced people and families (which is a commendable thing) but on the Saturday night, we returned about 8.30pm & they were all having a get together on the landing (not bothered about this as it was a Saturday) we just put the telly on loud and left em to it. At 4am we heard fighting/screaming/shouting. Police were called settled everything then went. All the noise started up again almost immediately, and one of the women started banging on our door trying to get in. When my partner explained this wasn't her room she tried to argue with him and push past to get in. Safe to say at this point we were fed up & went home. Like I said, it's commendable that they are helping the community but based on what the police said, it doesn't seems like the first time they had visited the building and/or particular people there. The building is clearly big enough to separate paying and unpaying guests. A night's sleep & breakfast paid for but lost. I have contacted the management on numerous occasions to try and get atleast an apology but haven't even been acknowledged. Very poor service.,

Shared bathroom, really noisy neighbors as you can hear people taking clearly through the walls

Welcoming and old but clean. Continental breakfast choices while limited were adequate with decent coffee and availability of juices and milk. Fruit was also available
The room was advertised as a double but the bed was EXTREMELY narrow - definitely smaller than a standard double bed making for not very comfortable nights. While the toilet/shower room was right opposite our room I would definitely have preferred private rather than shared facilities. The walls are very thin and uninsulated. This building was an old house which has been converted to a hotel by sub-dividing the original much larger rooms and it is hard to tell whether better space implementation could have provided ensuite bathrooms

Not much
Breakfast poor
