Mattress uncomfortable

Very clean and comfortable and superbly quiet - we got a great night's sleep.

We were a little puzzled over breakfast arrangements - what in the fridge was for us to use other that the milk and cereal and did the other things (eg strawberries) belong to our hosts or to other guests? We are used to being asked to remove walking shoes in houses, but not obviously clean ordinary shoes.

Perfect location to explore the Isle of Skye. Comfortable accommodation, parking and a homely feel. Breakfast supplies at hand.

The accommodation was a room in a house which was not the way it is advertised. With this in mind it was very over priced.

The owner met us at the door. The property had 5 bedrooms and we had rented 4. The property itself was a single floor house. Beautiful and clean. We had a living room area to hang out in and a kitchen that was stocked with some essentials (water, milk, bread, butter, cereal, crackers, etc.) that the owner gave us permission to enjoy. The property also had a backyard area but we did not spend time there. There were 3 parking spots in front of the house. There was a mudroom by the front door where we were told to leave our shoes. Slippers for the house were supplied if you wanted them. 3 out of the 4 rooms had their own bathroom. There was a tea set with tea and sugar in each room. Walking distance to the main town was 5-15 minutes away based on where in Portree you wanted to go.

If I have to write something: The owner was retired, so he would kind of just walk around the exterior of the property throughout the day. Not bad, but didn't feel like we were left alone.

The bed was comfortable. Convenient location for Portree.

The room was comfortable with a nice view The bathroom is a bit little but has everything The breakfast wasn't prepared, but we found it more handy to prepare it ourselves, thanks to the free access to the kitchen.

The room was right behind the kitchen and we could hear the early risers in the kitchen. Luckily we were up early too

The room was very small with no wardrobe, only a coat stand . The bathroom was minute - the sink was tiny. There was total lack of soundproofing so the occupants of the adjacent room had their tv on till midnight on two of our three nights stay and we could hear every word. There was supposed to be a 10 o’clock curfew on noise but it wasn’t reinforced.

Good location but the room rate is a bit higher for a guest house, may be for the peak season in July.

it was on walking distance from the city center and in a quiet neighborhood. Selfcatering, first breakfast cafe opens at 8am (be there in time cause it was fully seated within 5 minutes). Others all open at 8:30 or even 9:00. local hotels don’t take in visitors for breakfast only. Or buy your breakfast and eat in the kitchen of the house

the mattress was longer than the bed so you could not tuck in your duvet because it didn’t have a tuck in strip and was not very long. For people who don’t need that you’d be fine. No bathmath. You had to take of shoes at the entrance but I’m traveling with 70+ who are not that agile anymore and we were fully loaded with our lugage.

The location was good. Right in the middle of Portree

The rooms are extremely small. Just one bed in the room. There was no room to move around or even open your luggage The bathrooms look like they are closets in the room. Extremely small and does not lock also

our host were very friendly and kind the location the kitchen with some free food for breakfast

only the bathroom doors but its not a big deal they dont close 100% there is a small gap at the end of it

Could hear tv from next room but not unbearable - cant help some thin walls in a house.

Very spacious and clean double room, perfect location to use as a base while exploring Skye!

No reply at all from structure. I wrote to the structure and didn't receive any reply at all, even weeks after. No availability to help.

Bathroom separate from my room. No kettle in the room

no complaints as such, room was spacious and clean. location was ideal for town approx 5mins if that had use of the kitchen and sitting room if you wanted to, single bed was a little uncomfy for me

Nothing it was perfect

Clean, comfy room. That's about it really. It was very basic but served my needs.

The bathroom was down the corridor from my room however, this is the only room without ensuit as far as I can tell. Didn't like having to take my shoes off at the front door or the fact that it's not soundproofed so there's signs telling you to be silent after 10pm

Friendly welcome, quiet place clean and tidy good value for money

Kitchen is available for customers and they provide extra (free) cereals, milk, jam etc.. Good location for Skye tour, also walking distance to center, pubs etc..

It was a bit odd to take of our shoes at building entrance and walk to the room and kitchen area with socks (we do the same at our own place but this is a guest house). Thin walls, almost no sound insulation. We had a private bathroom but it was outside of the room, be aware 1 of the rooms is like this, rest has internal bathroom/wc.

Very small bedroom. Decor not updated. Minimal breakfast. Very little privacy.
