Old and dated rooms. Wear and tear in the rooms was very obvious. Size of the rooms was on the smaller side.

The breakfast was really great. The bed was comfortable. The service from the staff at the restaurants and at breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of space in our room.

We booked a sea view room, but our room was pretty much a pool view room. Our view of the sea was mostly blocked by palm trees and our windows were facing in the wrong direction to view the sea fully. The staff at the front desk were surprisingly unknowledgeable about the housekeeping of the internal operations of the hotel (were not familiar with the laundry process and how to charge this).

Good golf course and spacious grounds

Property is showing its age. Not enough food service options as we’re in the past. Communication issues with staff who were not always helpful. Advertised activities not available. Kids club was terrible.

1. Already paid tourist tax when I reserved room, however they request again when I check-in. At that time, I was tired so I couldn't remember that I already paid tourist tax, so I paid again. 2. Magnetic Card Key system is too old. Card Key damaged by smart phone so I had to revisit reception several times, everytimes resort crew make card key again, but it waste my time.

Very comfy n relaxed environment, located close to shopping mall n city centre. Nice in house restaurant with sufficient facilities.

Bowling lane is old with poor conditions

The hotel is well located and well maintained. Have nice pools and a small beach. Nice environment (viewable carol and fish) and easy access to the harbour to islands. Nice sunset cruise offered by the hotel.

Barely feel being served at the hotel even we paid for the 2nd highest room rate(MYR2945.6/2nights) and stay at the club floor suite. 1. We communicate with hotel to see if can postpone our stay 1 day after due to we would arrive at midnight the 1st night. (And the original room fee is expensive than the amended date room fee which I don’t request any refund of price difference). After hotel confirmed my request and asked us to apply the modification via online agent, the hotel rejected my application for 3 times without any explanation!!! The long lasting useless communication had ruined the whole arrangement of my trip and I had to find other hotels the very last minute. By the way, we stayed a very good time at Le Méridien at a 1/3 price of Magellan and being well respected. 2. We bought the You & Me package to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The package description is written chocolate gift box offered but nothing is received from the hotel, nor any special decoration/greeting is being served. While the sunset cruise included in the package is worth a visit. 3. Our package includes HB meals. However the set menu is kinda disappointed. Each one is served with 3 tuna tarts as appetiser, fried fish and plaine fish as main dish and fruit plate as dessert…and it takes a 30 mins waiting for the main dish after the 1st course. While the table next to us who arrived at the same time, they ordered a la carte and all dishes were served very quickly. (But the manager was very enthusiastic and initiative, a professional hotelier) 4. Mostly the staff we met wad lack of sense of interaction.

Rooms facing sea is nice & comfortable, the sea view from balcony is superb. Very nice sunset bar nearby lobby. Breakfast was good

A typical 5 star hotel with pretty much nothing to complain about. Excellent service and facilities all around. Plus point is they have a booth to cater hotel guests for day trips to Pulau Sapi, Pulau Manukan & Pulau Mamutik.

Maybe can upgrade their TV but its not an issue to us.
