The property was great! A perfect Black Hills getaway with a beautiful view and just a short drive to Deadwood. We had a rainy day during our stay and the place offers plenty of fun activities to spend a day in and get quality time with family and friends. Plenty of places to sleep and a great outdoor porch area to spend time.

We made it work and it was fine. I would suggest the owners fix up a few the issues..like sliding screen door and I fixed the cupboard by the sink on my own. May have to spray for Ants as I was bitten during the night.
It just looked like it was neglected as a home and it could be an absolutely wonderful place. I don't plan to post anything but hope the owners look at my thoughts.

Pros: Family meeting from two different states in the Black Hills - 10 people together staying in this home. Four separate bedrooms, three bathrooms and additional sleeping spaces for the children was ideal for our group. The kitchen was well stocked. Bathrooms, towels, sheets, pillows - all stocked well and clean. Beds were very comfy. Large deck with nice views and outdoor seating spaces. Pool table, dartboard and hot tub are a bonus. Couches in the upstairs living area are comfortable. Dish TV available in multiple rooms. We contacted the owner, and he was very responsive and helpful. Cons:Home is a bit worn. Some small repairs would make a big difference. Closet doors off the tracks, screen doors difficult to open and close. Dartboard and darts in poor condition making it difficult to play. Batteries dead in multiple remotes (no batteries to replace them available). Most disappointing was the lower level pull-out couch being broken and not able to be used to sleep on. Internet seems to go out often. Poor lighting on the main level made it difficult to play games in the evening - we ended up bringing lamps from the bedrooms for additional light.We truly enjoyed our stay in the Black Hills. This house has so much potential! The area is beautiful and so convenient to Deadwood and Spearfish. Hopefully we will all be back.

The house is great! Our favorite places in Lead; a coffee shop named Lotus Up, Dakota Shivers Brewing, and Miners and Merchants for shopping. Spearfish is only a short drive away and offered hiking trails, fly fishing, and beautiful scenery. Nothing was too far away. The stay was a nice refreshing break from the everyday.

We had a few hiccups when we first arrived which were resolved after a few hours. The house worked well for 4 couples as everyone was able to have their own private room. BEAUTIFUL deck for morning coffee and evening laughs! Just and FYI - Narrow roads & many turns to get to house if you are hauling trailers. We did have to reload our UTVs at another location just down the road.

Overall a nice place, No response to e-mails (not sure why they list it) fast response to phone call.
Upon arriving (850 miles on motorcycle), dirty refrigerator, glasses struck to shelf in cabinet, handle on refrigerator broke. Wash machine didn't work and hot tub had dirt and smelt musty. Internet did not work. Vrbo add shows a pool table which isn't level and only 1 pool good cue to share, There was a dart board but no usable darts, Foosball table but no balls. Discussed with owner and believe most of these issues would be corrected (he even offered to have someone come in that week, but we were not interested in being disturb and used it as is).
A little disappointed!!! for the price paid that some of the amenities advertise were not in good work order. I was offered a discount on my next trip but have no plans of returning to the area.

We rent from VRBO almost every where we go because we love a home feel and the convinces of a laundry and kitchen. The washer was broken the whole week we were there, so no laundry. The kitchen pots and pans were not suitable to use. The grill was filthy and unusable. The handle fell of the freezer with the first use. The upstairs bathroom has urine on the walls and the whole place needed a deep clean. It really needs a facelift from the interior paint that’s dinged around the doorways to the patio umbrella that was ripped and very faded. We paid twice as much as most units we usually rent because we wanted something extra nice for our family to enjoy together. It was barely just ok. This is the first negative review I’ve ever written, we debated to leave this one but I wish we would have known what we were getting for that price!

This property was lovely. It was clean, everything was well organized and easy to use.
I had made a mistake with my booking and the property owner was not only understanding, but he was patient and kind. This was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the black hills. One thing I would’ve liked to know is how steep the stairs are, because these were a little dangerous for a 3 year old. Overall we absolutely loved the property, the location, the hot tub and the experience. Thanks for sharing this property with us!

Nice location near Terry Peak, clean facilities, owner did an excellent job of returning my calls to answer questions. Our grandkids enjoyed the hot tub and game room. Our only complaint was it was difficult to keep all 3 levels at a comfortable temperature. The basement was too hot, and a couple of the bedrooms would get cold at night, even after setting the thermostats.

Perfect!!!
We had a family of 7 and there was more than enough room. Everyone enjoyed the pool table and all the board games available in the pool room. We also enjoyed the spa in the evening and the kitchen was stocked with everything a normal kitchen would have which was very beneficial, since we cooked many meals. We even used the crock pot one day. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Well equipped with enough towels, pillows, blankets, kitchen cooking utensils. In a neighborhood with beautiful sites to hike around right out your door. We enjoyed having the hot tub to use after a long day of hiking and seeing the sites. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Family Vacay
We had a lot of trouble contacting Evolve. It was very inconvenient: The money was taken from my account almost immediately one month before and a confirmation was sent. But after that, no one contacted me. I patiently waited until 24 hours out. Call after call gave me the run-around. Finally, while en route and only four hours away, we were able to make contact. Hopefully, the conduit between VRBO and Evolve needs to improve. It shouldn't have been that difficult. I am praying that others do not have this same issue. The property itself, was awesome! We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Great house in the Blackhills
It was a beautiful house snuggled in the Black Hills. Everything was clean and great condition. Three different levels to spread out in and relax or play games. We really enjoyed the hot tube and the owners were super nice. We will definitely try to get back.

Cozy Cabin
Very nice, clean, updated cabin. Had everything we needed for our stay. Towels and bed linens were good quality and had plenty. Lots of room for our family to spread out. Beautiful views from the deck, very private.

Great place close to Terry Peak
We had a great visit. Loved the hot tub and the cozy atmosphere. It unexpectedly snowed 8 inches while we were there which was a fun treat! But, 4 wheel drive definitely needed to get up the hill with any amount of snow. This is a great house with lots of character.

Wonderful Experience
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was nice and clean and they had everything available a person could possibly need for making meals. Every appliance, kitchen utensil, foil, baggies, containers for left overs. I can't think of anything more they could have provided to make the stay better. Everything was as comfortable as home. They had a cabinet full of games and puzzles for all ages, my grandchildren loved it. We could have spent the whole time there and they would have been happy. The layout of the house was great for us to all have our own floor with our own bathroom. Plenty of towels, pillows, etc. The location was perfect for us with plenty of parking. Nice outdoor seating for nice days. They really put some thought into thinking of everything to make your stay wonderful. Thank you for allowing us to stay and make our vacation so fun!

The 3 levels were perfect for our family as each of us had their own level.
We loved sitting on the decks and enjoying the great weather.

Our family vacation
My husband and I took our 2 daughters and their families to the Black Hills for vacation. This cabin was great for 11 people. Great location and amenities. Doug our contact was easy to work with. The hot tub was a great plus. I would rent it again if we came back.

The place was very clean. Check in was simple with a code received a couple days before we arrived. Doug was very helpful informing us of things before we arrived, but the place was set up so well we did not need to contact him during our stay. The cabin had everything we needed. The four bedrooms were nice for some privacy for the adults. The pool table, dart board, and many games kept everyone busy when we were not skiing. The kitchen was large and it was easy to prepare meals for a large group. The garage allowed us a nice place to drop all of our boots and shoes to keep the house clear. Finally, the hot tub was great at the end of long days of skiing. We would definitely stay here again.
