Awful lift that took ages. The stairwell if you couldn’t wait any longer for the lift was stinking and there was even sick on the stairs.
Air conditioning in the room was rubbish . Kept switching off and there are no windows to open. We rang 3 times about the aircon and we are told someone would be sent up. After us getting ready I went to reception to complain again and they said there were no maintenance on duty so I assume the person on the phone just fobbed us off. Had a room change the 2nd rooms air on was also awful. The floor was dirty in the bathroom there were no hand soap , body wash or shampoo in the bottles in the bathroom.
This was an awful stay and spoilt our night.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The lift issue, only one lift which is extremely slow and small.
Toilet didn’t flush and hot tap in shower did not work, informed reception straight away and maintenance fixed both within half an hour, exceptional.
Housekeeping kept taking our spare room key from our room, disappointing and frustrating

The rooms were reasonable in terms of the bed was comfortable, the room was clean. I'm not going to lie, but this has probably been one of my worst experiences in this chain of hotels. The Hotel next door suggested we request being placed else where due to my mums disabilities. Helping with luggage does not come anywhere close to the pain that my mother experienced going up all the stairs (emergency fire route to be precise). I wish I could offer a more positive review but alas this is not the case on this occasion.
lack of staffing to accommodate the number of people attending the breakfast. Breakfast service very disorganised; not necessarily the staffs fault, they were understaffed, it just meant that items would keep running out whether that being drink or food; food being only warm. Lack of resources incl. beverages; machines were always empty or needing refills. Being mis-informed. Air con not working in x2 out of the 3 rooms booked. Not accessible or very accommodating for those with disabilities or mobility issues due to the lifts not working. Advised that would only need to go up 26 steps.... all in all my mum with severe osteoarthritis in her knees and who is asthmatic, endured 52 steps before she could get to her room. Checked the reviews after being told that the lifts had been down only a short time, that they have actually been out of order for months; this should be clearly advertised on booking.com and not be found out after a booking has been made. When contacted the hotel direct, there was no offer of moving our booking to another of their hotels which was close by, they allowed a room change so my mum was on the 2nd floor rather than the 3rd. Smaller room but still the same value as the booking was made through booking.com. Some staff were very polite, others seemed quite rude; again, if the staffing resources were below the numbers, then they were probably stressed due to footfall. Disappointed is an understatement. I can guarantee I wont be staying at this particular hotel again. Shame considering we travel to this area several times a year.

The staff were very lovely and accommodating. My niece was sick in the morning and they allowed us to stay for a couple of hours extra past check out to make sure she was okay to travel. The rooms are standard Holiday Inn rooms, identical wherever you go.
Only 1 lift was working, so during peak times (breakfast & check out) it was literally impossible to get the lift. The lift also only holds 6 people comfortably, even less with luggage. Trudging up and down 3 flights of stairs (technically 4 as the 1st floor is a service floor) to get to our room wasn't fun. Plus, the stairwell hasn't been decorated or anything and was quite run down. If you struggle with stairs, would recommend requesting a room on the 1st floor whilst only 1 lift is working.
As a heads up, everyone goes for breakfast between 8:30 and 10am. If you want a mug, or cutlery, try to go down early. The staff tried their best to keep replenishing everything, but what can you expect when 200 people go for breakfast all at once?

The hotel was clean. The breakfast was fine
The elevators weren’t working, we were not made aware of this until After we had arrived and checked in We were given the impression that they had recently stopped working and should be working again any time soon!! The cleaning staff later told us that the elevators had not been working since December! It was awful for my wife to get up to our room on the 5th floor especially as she is 7 months pregnant. This was meant to be a surprise special occasion for us but we couldn’t enjoy it. Once my wife had come downstairs she never went back up to the room so I was left to go up and down for her needs and to pack up and vacate the room. We couldn’t be moved to a lower floor as no availability. Disappointed.

The location was good.
Lifts were not working, not good for a relatively high level hotel. Room was comfortable and appeared clean, however a lump of long hair from a previous guest in the shower cubicle behind the door, obviously room cleaner not very observant.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. As the lifts were down, they helped us with our luggage. Gave us info re parking.
Great breakfast. Hot and cold foods. Plentiful.
Unfortunately there was something wrong with the thermostat and we were overly hot all night. We probably should have let staff know that night, and they may have been able to fix it for us.
Parking was full. We opted then for the paid carpark as we had a rental car. Was about $50 Australian.

The fact once we booked them to be sent an email to say lift out of order and then proceeded to put us on third floor it was a killer not fair and certainly not worth the money and parking was awful

Good space and comfort!
This is the second time am back to this building in 2 weeks, yet the “Lift” - Elevator aren’t working. I don’t know why. It was a whole lot of hassle getting on the 4th floor. I’m disappointed! Imagine I had a disable person alongside with me. It would have been a disaster. Not happy at all.

The hotel location is right at the centre of the town... Which made it very easy to visit the shops

Given a room on 5th floor. Broken lift. Key didn't work. Had to wait in the corridor for over 20 minutes (with very tired little children) for the room key to be corrected. No onsight parking available. I won't be staying again.

Lift has not working (and apparently has not been working for some time due to hotel “awaiting a part for the lift”) so we had to climb 62 stairs with heavy suitcases. Initially given wrong room but it was quickly changed to correct configuration.
Breakfast was a complete disaster as they constantly ran out of items and only replaced with a small amount. Staff were wonderful and worked very hard but too few of them as they had to clear tables, replace food, utensils, crockery etc as well as cover reception. Surely they knew the occupancy numbers so why not cater to that number!?!?
Not a welcoming entry into hotel either with rubbish and very basic signage.
Because the lift was not working, We had to use the fire escape stairs during our 3 night stay and these are dirty.

Lady in the morning was polite.
The staff were not polite at the time when we arrived, say that the lift does not work but we accepted. When came into the room the toilet flash were not working at all and was dirty. However, we arrived in the night so we did not say nothing. In the morning we saw that the lift is functioning and take the lift down however stuck there. While we were having coffee downstairs we reported about the toilet however. Nothing has been done. The bed was not comfortable either unfortunately. So we could relax as we planned and had to change the hotel.

Friendly staff, lovely young guy on checkout polite and gave us ice to take to our room and sorted someone to help us with our luggage. Good variety at breakfast and friendly happy staff
The lift was broken and we were on the 6th floor, absolutely spoilt our stay, was a nightmare to climb that amount of stairs especially with a small child. We're also informed by another guest that the lift issue has been ongoing for a good few weeks.

Kein Fachpersonal, Aufzug funktioniert nicht, wollten uns in den sechsten Stockwerk ein Zimmer geben. Im Bad waren zwei LED Lampen defekt. Der Eindruck war als Booking. com Kunde nur zweite Wahl zu sein. Schade für diese Hotelkette.

Hotel good value. Breakfast good. Clean and tidy. Bathroom too. Good bright and airy room.
Hotel surrounded by road works due to Council redevoloping area. Difficult for pedestrians to approach hotel and locate entrance. Lift wasn't working. Two flights of stairs with luggage late at night with an injured ankle wasnt fun. At Departure time I had to extend time due lift being out of use and walk to station difficult.

Shower was broken, very poor pressure, not really a hot shower, Couldn't have a cup of coffee in the morning from the bar/restaurant as coffee machine was apparently broken.

Car park not available although off site parking was offered. The sofa bed was the most uncomfortable bed ever.....kids couldn't sleep on it so I ended up giving the double bed to them and trying to sleep on the sofa bed myself.
