Everything was perfect.

Went there during the off season. The place was super calm, quiet and relaxing. Such a beautiful view and swimming pool was huge and clean. The staff are friendly and welcome. Very nice atmosphere.

The google map suggested a difficult route to the hotel at the beginning even we went via Monchique town. Afterwards the hotel suggested to pass via restaurant called “Luar da Fóia” then all sorted, much easier route:)

set in the mountains a peaceful retreat away from all the hustle and bustle with beautiful views across to the coast. staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.

hadn’t realised the studio would be up quite so many steps as the description just mentions 50yds away.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The view from my room was stunning and the room itself was very big (I was even told that this was one of the smaller ones). Breakfast was wonderful, freshly squeezed orange juice, a good choice of bread and the eggs were freshly made at one's own sweet will. I loved the tranquility and the stunning view towards the sea.

Everything was perfect. I had no complaints at all.

Very cute and quiet place. Lots of personal attention provided. An indicidual welcome note was found in the room upon arrival. Small details to be found all over the place. Clean and light modern rooms. Beautiful location. Good healthy breakfast. Lots of activities on offer. Would love to return one day.

Just very small details to be fair. You need your own weels or prepare to walk (not sure possible in mid summer heat). No room cleaning due to Easter (fair and mentioned upon check in).

We absolutely loved the views from the balcony. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. The honesty bar is useful, the pool was great. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and I liked the way he made a point of talking to guests at breakfast. He also made a great recommendation for a restaurant that we were able to walk to.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the hosts amazing, breakfast is great!!! The drive up there is a bit of a challenge. Glad we had a SUV. The facilities are disappointing, the jacuzzi is only available when reserved. Swimming pool is not heated. This location does not have any spa facilities, not connected to Monchique caldas. One more note about the rooms: you can hear everything in the next rooms....snoring, talking, sneezing, everything...not a brilliant good night sleep...

Their recommendation for a dinner restaurant was far less than ideal.

Room is good. Breakfast is excellent. Location is difficult because the hillside is steep and the roads extremely windy.Hood signs but can't see one of them near the B&B. Staff is extremely helpful, hot tub is nice, local hiking trails, restaurants, etc. Awesome views of the Algarve and coast.

Noise in the hallway, mostly from the reception desk and clients' doors were an issue--and we were at the far end the hallway.

Very peacefull environnement, fantastic views from the rooms with balcony. Nice garden and pool. Perfect breakfast, with lots of fresh fruit and adjusted to my diet. Very friendly and helpfull hosts. Slept very comfortable on those nice beds. Great for hiking and visiting the south coast. In the neighboorhood some good restaurants.

Fantastic destination for a relaxing get-away. Quiet setting with cork trees and a panoramic view of the valley and the sea on the horizon. Clean modern facilities with a friendly staff.

We wish we'd stayed longer. This small hotel is more beautiful and comfortable than 4 star locations we've experienced. With amazing views it is a serene, well designed hotel. The staff are superb: friendly, and helpful with excellent communication before and during the stay. The rooms are impeccable and the owners add thoughtful touchs. The breakfast was fresh with something for everyone. The shared spaces are lovely and comfortable. Would definitely return.

We had the very well-appointed studio apartment with a large, comfortable bed, views all the way down to the ocean and magnificent sunrises. In addition to the facilities, what made our stay truly exceptional was the genuine care both Henk and Michel took in making us feel like friends visiting their home. They even packed a breakfast for us when we had to leave for an early flight.

The beautiful setting, the hot tub overlooking the white hillside, the friendly welcome, breakfast included, cleanliness, the expansive view.

It is a beautiful place in the mountains of Monchique. The view from the hotel is just great and you can really enjoy a relaxing holiday in VilaFoia. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was really nice with a wonderful balcony. The breakfast was really really good as well. There is a jacuzzi that hotel guests can use and overall the atmosphere in the hotel is just very nice. I wish we would have stayed longer!!
