Perfect location, close to the main square, you can see the ruins on the mountain side from the grounds, only a few minutes walk from the train station for Machu Picchu or Cusco. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.
These are only very minor points, the wooden floor in my bedroom had been over polished and I nearly skidded a few times in bare feet, but flip flops sorted this out. The other minor thing was that I was phoned by hotel staff at 8.15am one morning to say breakfast service had already finished, which I thought was a little early to be honest.

Breakfast was good. We could have used some salt at the tables.
The lack of sound isolation. We didnt'have to wake up eraly that morning but we were waken up by other guest taking the 5 am train. Not very handy of the staff to put us in a room downstairs. You could hear everything around. The floor also makes a horrible sound when you walk on it with sneakers.

It’s a beautiful property, away from the noise and crowds of the main town. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The room was the largest we stayed in during our month in Peru and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast.
We were delighted with the hotel!

Breakfast was adequate. It was a buffet style breakfast with the usual items. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant staff spoke only a little bit of English which was fine as I speak some Spanish. If you don't speak Spanish, it can be a bit difficult getting what you want.
The rooms and bathrooms are more rustic than the pictures show. Everything was very clean. Our bathroom was 1960s avocado green. The shower was very small and it was difficult to shower because the shower curtain wanted to wrap itself around you. Everything in the bathroom--including the toilet paper--got wet while you were showering. We knew after the first day to take the TP off the holder and put it on a shelf away from the water spray.

We absolutely loved this hotel! We are a family of 4 and found this hotel to be the PERFECT place to relax after our long trek on the Inca Trail. So grateful for this beautiful hotel - I can't imagine a better place to stay in Ollantaytambo!

Breakfast was great, fruit was amazing and service was impeccable.
Rooms were cold but they had space heaters to help.

The view from my room, and near main drag.
Price is a bit higher and bathroom floor VERY slippery when wet.

Their sin gluten entree on the restaurant menu definitely has gluten. One of us suffered through an awful night because of that.

The hotel layout and buildings, nice room size, close to train station
very basic breakfast, not close enough to center of town

Completely unplanned, we spent two nights in Ollantaytambo due to an agricultural strike that blocked all the roads and the railroad in and out of town, including the train to Machu Picchu. And although we never made it to Machu Pichu, we are so happy we got to spend two nights at this gorgeous property. They basically opened the hotel just for us and couldn’t have been more helpful while we we trying to figure out if the train was going to operate and how to get back to Cusco to catch our plane. The rooms are very comfortable but what makes this hotel extraordinary are the gardens that surround the buildings where the guest rooms are located. The views of the surrounding mountains were amazing, the air smelled of flowers and plants, and we were lulled to sleep by the sound of water running through the property and awaken in the morning by the birds chirping. The location was also excellent, only a three minute walk down to the train station and about 7-8 minutes up to the main square. The hotel has a gate that remains locked and you have to ring a bell to enter, which is reassuring for those worried about safety, although we never felt unsafe in this little town, and we walked around a lot both at night and during the day. The breakfast was excellent, buffet style with a lot of choices, and so was the one dinner we ate there. We will return to Peru to see Machu Picchu and we will stay at this hotel again!

The hotel grounds are beautiful. We really enjoyed the sound of the water running through the facility. Breakfast was great and we also enjoyed a couple of dinners here. Close proximity to the train station and the inca ruins.

A unique and boutique hotel in a large complex and quite spacious. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great with wide selection of food. I lost my hat and they forwarded it to Cusco the next day. So the service was excellent.

The proximity to the train station (5 mins walk) and to the archeological site (10 mins walk) make it ideal if you are stopping by on the way from/to Machu Picchu. The gardens are the most beautiful part of the hotel and are very well kept, with raised terraces from which you get a lovely view of the surroundings mountains and site. The room is spacious, bathroom was clean. The breakfast was good.
The garden has no service whatsoever. Many cosy sitting areas for what? Why not add a bar somewhere on the top terrace? So you can enjoy the view while sipping a beer?! The breakfast lounge is a bit outdated, as much as the nearby living rooms. The whole place is poorly designed. There is NEVER staff around to offer you a drink or snack. Nothing.
We came back from sightseeing around 11 and went to the indoor bar on the first floor (the design is simply atrocious) sat there for 20 minutes, no one showed up. I mean... why having a bar in the hotel if there is no one working there??
The place has a LOT of potential, they should invest more in the garden (and general) service rather than the up keeping of its greenery
ROOM TIP: if you get the n 35 change it. Overlooks two parking lots from both windows!!!!!!!
