I had a great stay at Elterwater Hostel! The staff was extremely friendly & welcoming and the Hostel itself is a lovely place. There is a big common and dining room, which is very cozy. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped. It is also very clean (haven't seen anything comparable in any other hostel so far), so are the rooms and bathroom facilities. All over, I would really recommend Elterwater Hostel and would love to come back anytime! Also the breakfast is really good! The Hostel is also very well located. That means if you aren't traveling by car you can still easily reach many hiking destinies, which are either directly around the corner or just a bus ride away. There is a bus stop within two minutes walking distance of the Hostel.

The staff were very helpful and really lovely, spotlessly clean, spacious kitchen with good facilities, a drying room which was great !, superb location and a beautiful building. Close enough to walk to local pub and cafe and generally a safe environment.

It was my first solo trip and first time staying in a hostel so I was very nervous what to expect but the hostel was absolutely Lovely I couldn't fault a thing the staff we're all so welcoming and helpful the hostel itself was lovely and clean all the showers toilets rooms and kitchen area and I met some lovely people on my stay in the hostel I will definitely be back

Quiet place outside the village and close to the nature, clean, well run, good location for hiking trips, bus stop nearby.

Great location and friendly staff,nice grounds to sit and enjoy a quiet drink. The hostel has a range of local ales at a reasonable price. even though there is no parking on site the staff allowed me to park my motorcycle. there is a National trust car park about a 100 yds from the hostel for car parking. The staff go that extra mile for there guest.

Beautiful quiet location, staff really personable and helpful which was a benefit of a small hostel. Bedroom basic and small but perfectly adequate. Breakfast great !

The two hosts were wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgable, happy to help. Facilities were clean and had everything you need. Bathroom and showers exceptionally clean.
