Great property, house set-up creates space for guests that provide privacy. Well stocked with 2 kitchens. Beautiful setting, dock great for swimming, jet ski and boat! Also paddle boards and kayaks available.

This was our second year at this property. We all enjoyed the new dock and ladder that was installed since last summer. Made it much easier for a 70 something to get in and out of the water. Grandkids had a blast again this year jumping off the dock into the water. Great location for the kids to kayak, too. Saw some deer wondering around the road and property.

Our family had a great time. We loved the ability to bring our dogs and let them swim and boat with us. The private cove was a great place to lounge, paddle board and swim. The 3 bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs was a nice separation for our mixed age family. We had everything we needed. We loved the ice maker! The boat dock was a nice addition to the smaller floating dock.
Communication with the host was nearly instant and appreciated.

Our family visited for our daughter’s graduation from Liberty University Online Academy. It was great home to gather with grandparents to celebrate. The house had everything we needed for cooking and enjoying the lake. The internet allowed me to participate in zoom mtgs when we weren’t otherwise enjoying the views, the lake and wildlife. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Thanks, Rick, for sharing your home with us.

Our family loved staying here. The house was very clean and accurately described in the listing. Rick was almost immediate with responses and made the whole experience very nice. The kayaks, SUP boards, & canoe were a nice touch. Also, LOVED the ice maker and 2 sets of washer and dryers. We can’t wait to return!

Not an accurate listing, it included so much more!!!! Multiple kayaks a canoe and even 2 stand up paddle boards! The whole family had numerous ways to enjoy the water off of not 1 but 2 docks! Fishing could be separate from swimming/tanning! The commercial ice machine is something I never knew was missing from my life. The emerald green clear water made you feel like you were in another country and the mountains up against the lake were like Bob Ross come to life! The house was super clean and very spacious with multiple living room options that you can send the teenagers downstairs to be noisy and a large deck, large covered back patio and screened in front porch, so much space! The cornhole set was a hit for our family tournament and all the games were perfect for our game nights. Not far from Mangos the local tourist area but located on the best most scenic and secluded side of the lake. Secluded in a no wake cove like being in a court. Ample parking and wooded space from the neighbors. Nicely decorated with all the kitchen items you could need and then some. Thank you so much for the memories

Clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen and overall great set up. It was a real plus to have washer & dryer on both levels. The ice machine was a treat.
Located in a quiet area so it was safe for us to venture out on provided paddle boards and kayaks. My family and I really enjoyed our stay.

Location was optimal in a little cove, quiet and private with a direct lake view. We spent time with the kids of course swimming, out in kayaks/paddle boards everyday and visited the the local beach at Smith Mountain Lake State Park twice. The main kitchen is fully stacked with any pot, pan or utensil you could think of - no need to bring any of your own! Downstairs storage closet was filled to the brim with board games - Mall Madness was a kid favorite! We even met met and made friends with the neighbors. Host was communicative and quick to respond. Great place to stay :)

We had been planning our wedding at Smith Mountain Manor for months! We had a large bridal party and from over an hour away, so we wanted a close and safe place to get ready at and come back to afterwards. Rick was absolutely amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed, the house is just beautiful, the guys even had a chance to take a stroll out on the canoe before leaving for the venue! Everything was so perfect for our large group and we will definitely be back! So much quality time was spent together and this was the perfect place for that. Thanks so much, Rick!😊

This has been a challenging year for my family so I decided to rent a place where we all can be together. My mom in her 80s, my husband, my sister and her 26-year old child, and my daughter-in-law with two 5year old twins stayed in this house. And, it was one the MOST enjoyable get together we have had in a long while. The house was big enough to accommodate all of us comfortably. Plenty of blankets available which was great since it was a little chilly at night. The neighborhood is very family friendly and we saw people walking their dogs on the street everyday. The kitchen had all the cooking things you need and more. The bed was comfy and almost all bedrooms had TV in them. Great wifi connection. Really felt that you are home away from home. Rick had been a thoughtful and responsive host. I highly recommend this place for family gathering. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the lake :-), we went kayaking and also rented a boat. SML to me is one the most picturesque lakes I have seen with clear water and mountains at the backdrop. We had laughters coming from our 5-year olds nonstop as they enjoyed themselves so much. They even caught their first fish by the dock despite cold weather so lots of memories at this place that will be remembered by us for a long time.

The house was the perfect size for our party of six and I loved the location. We would definitely love to go back and spend more time! We enjoyed kayaking and fishing from the pier and grilling outside and did not want to leave! Mr. Crofford was very helpful throughout the entire process!! You will love every minute spent here!!

Great stay in a great location!
We had a great time at Rick’s property! It is located on a quiet cove on the lake which the adults and kids loved. The view from the top porch couldn’t be beat! We loved the two living spaces and the commercial ice machine was an added bonus our group loved. The rental was clean and well stocked. Communication with Rick was great. He was immediately available to help when a Penske truck took down the entire power lines and internet in front of the house. We had a great stay, would highly recommend!

Total Relaxation
This place was amazing! Our group has camped/vacationed together every Memorial Day weekend since 2012 and we all have a great time. The house is in a great location on the lake and in a quiet neighborhood. Having access to two refrigerators was perfect for a group of people who like to eat well and we had plenty of room to cook, relax, play board games, watch old movies and relax down at the lake. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and canoe and were able to explore the lake and the adults enjoyed chilling in the inner tubes we brought with us. Thank you Rick for responding to questions and ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We'll be back!

Beautiful setting with unmatched amenities
Really great property that will sleep up to 11 in comfort. Used the property for Graduation weekend. Had two sets of grandparents, my wife and I, a brother in law, a son and his girlfriend and a family friend. Everyone had their own bedroom and plenty of privacy. Unmatched amenities! A canoe, two kayaks and two paddle boards, a really nice grill, ice maker and two coolers plus a really well stocked kitchen with SHARP KNIVES! I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful Home and Setting
We spent a short weekend introducing friends and family to our new baby. The house was perfect for our gathering with 2 kitchens and plenty of beds. The view from the back porch was beautiful and we even watched some deer in the backyard. The dock was great for soaking up n some sun on a chilly day and for fishing.

Perfect cove!
We had a great week! Everyone loved the kayaks, the paddle boards, and jumping off the dock! We felt like we had our own private cove since we were tucked back from the main areas. We will definitely be back again!

Very peaceful, amazing location on the water. Perfect house for a vacation with teenagers. The house and property had all we needed and more for relaxing, fishing, swimming and enjoying water activities. The families of deer coming through the yard each evening were enjoyable guests, too.

Lakefront Serenity
If you are considering renting this property DO IT! The inside of the home was immaculate and exactly as pictured. We were blessed with beautiful weather everyday so we were outside 95% of the time but everything you need or want is there for you. The owners answered any questions we had within minutes.
The privacy and view from anywhere you sit is breathtaking. The docks were a great place to sit after a day on the water before the sun went down. The ice maker was a life saver everyday loading up the coolers.
We would 100% stay here again!

Fun at SML
Very nice two level home that easily accommodated our party. The home was cosy and was located in a neighborhood ; very friendly neighbors. Lovely cove to lounge around in with little boat traffic to worry about. Home owner was easy to work with and answered questions by text promptly. Overall very nice experience.

The Perfect Vacation
We absolutely loved this house! Great location on a very private type of cove. Beautiful and quiet. The house is the best stocked house I've ever stayed in. The layout of the house was perfect for us as we had 3 teenage boys who stayed in the downstairs and the adults stayed upstairs. Great deck for sitting out and enjoying the view and a covered patie downstairs when it got alittle hot. We definitely plan to stay there again!

Early summer getaway
We visit SML every summer and stay at different homes each time. Now, hopefully, we will just stay here. Great location, perfect set-up for 2 separate groups. Kitchen was especially well stocked from air fryer to cookbook! Kudos to house cleaners who do a great job. Owner was so helpful and responds immediately. 5 stars

Best stocked VRBO
The house was spotless and had the best stocked kitchen with great pans, dishes and utensils that we have ever had at any Rental place. The owner was very responsive to our questions. While the weather was chilly we still got to enjoy some beautiful hikes at the nearby State Park and got in some boating and fishing. Highly recommend.
