El desayuno es muy bueno y la gente del desayuno así como el botones son personas encantadoras.

En recepción me hicieron esperar mas de media hora para el check in y la chica que está ahí no se entera de las cosas. Es terrible después de mas de 10 horas de vuelo que no atiendan tus mínimas peticiones y ademas mas de media hora de check in. El aire de la habitacion no funcionaba bien y hacia demasiado calor. Si vas a trabajar el wifi es terrible!

Great location, Chico. Room looks incredible, there is even carpet on the floor. There are a lot of additional bath/shower accessories, sadly shampoo only in sample bottles. Air conditioning works fast. Elevator is super fancy with views trough the glass and also very fast. Receptionist escorted me to my room and showed me everything, even where light switches are. It felt safe both in the hotel and outside of it. Hotel works on a very high professional level, they speak fluent English too. During my stay in Bogota I used in total 3 hotels, one 5 star and two 4 stars. This hotel, El Dorado, was probably the best of them, even exceeded my expectation compared to the 5 star I used days before.

Booked a room for two but it is only for one, because when searching and making booking I had only one person selected in search. I find this stupid, since the room is for two, it also says that in the room title, and should I have selected two person before hitting search button, price would be exactly the same, but now hotel told me, if I wanted to host a second person, I have to pay 150000cop/30eur per night extra. It was not a problem for me since I was alone, however, it feels like a scam, since again, room is for two and only difference is what you put in search and not what you later select and book. In shower it happened once or twice that I had to wait for a hot water for couple of minutes. Toilet paper seems to be placed a bit far from where you sit. Shower glass doors cant be closed completely, maybe there is a 1-2cm gap.

The building itself is really nice and is styled internally in a way to represent the country's cultural and natural history with lots of gold and green colouring. The common areas have lots of lush green plants and are really clean, even the elevator is, unusually, nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with tall and wide windows, the bathroom was probably the best of any Colombian hotel I stayed in. The location in Chapinero is leafy and quiet but generally very pleasant, though a bit of a distance from the main sights Bogota has to offer. Staff were helpful and spoke a good level of English.

Breakfast could have been a bit more interesting but was generally nice and adequate.

Air conditioner old, loud and not able to change temperature. But they are renovating. Nice and calm location but bit far from points of interest.

If you are in any doubt where to stay in Bogata then choose this one! The people are amazing, so friendly and kind and happy. We only heard laughter and saw smiles. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and we never heard outside noise or other guests. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice and there are two delicious restaurants to choose from for dinner in the evening. Very secure parking.

Housekeeping personal is excellent. Rooms very comfortable and clean.

The location is not great. The area during nights gets lonely. The service at the bar area is bad. Mario and Sebastian does not honor the hotel policy of good service. The staff at the restaurant is very good.

Great location, super nice personal and comfortable beds. We had everything we needed and more, we were totally happy to stay at Hotel El Dorado Bogota.
