Clean very quiet, barely saw anyone which is fine. Perfect bspot for peace & quiet,nEmbleton Bay is truly stunning & just at the end of the road.

Not a criticism, just comment, but a bit too quiet for us, literally nothing except a farm shop in the village in the town. Couldn't even buy a bottle of water!

Lots of condensation on windows. Needs updating. Breakfast not in dining room as closed due to a water leak. Disappointed with breakfast option of either a bacon or sausage sandwich with a glass of juice instead of a continental breakfast which we were expecting and looking forward too.There was no milk on breakfast tray on 2nd morning for a cup of tea.

it didn’t live up to the reviews at the time of booking. The whole building looked neglected. no hot food available other than extortionately priced Italian food in their newly opened restaurant.

Plenty, there was no running water and when we complained Anna bless her did all she could but to no avail. We could not shower and very little water to wash. We were promised refund from the owners but this has not arrived. The whole place needs updating.

Had a wonderful stay in this friendly and welcoming B&B. The double bed was very comfortable. The B&B is also a pub and restaurant serving great Italian food. The pepperoni pizza is highly recommended! The owners are very approachable and offered all sorts of trip recommendations. The Blue Bell Inn is also a convenient option for people doing the Northumberland Coast Path, located half a mile from the trail.

The room is very basic, with mismatching bedding, a dressing table without a mirror, a piece of paper stuck into the picture frame for wifi details, no shampoo or conditioner in the shower. The shower itself was old, but the main problem being we had no water for our entire stay!

On arrival a board was outside with a number to text to find out where key was hidden. Very unwelcoming to say the least. In fact, we only saw two members of staff over the 2 nights, one each morning. On opening the front door we were faced with three closed doors. One led to a dark, dingy staircase. Our room was dated, chipped furniture, dirty drawers. The bathroom smelt like a gents public toilet. Our room wasn't serviced, so no fresh towels. The wardrobe was stuffed full of screwed up blankets. The breakfast was OK , cereal in grubby plastic containers, plenty of fresh fruit, pain au chocolat in plastic wrappers, cheese and meat slices, but no bread. Toast was also availabl and a selection of jam jars etc. No information about evening meals so we went around the corner to Dunstaburgh Castle Hotel. In fact we spent more time in there as no chairs in our room and no lounge area at the Blue Bell. The room photos on booking.com are not a true representation.

Very friendly pub/B&B located handily in the village of Embleton, just off the Northumberland Coastal Path. Courteous hosts running a very relaxed business. Rooms are very comfortable and the business provides excellent value for money.

Unfortunately, the pub was shut on my stay (it closes on Monday and Tuesday) but that's fair enough. Breakfast is not the full English but a very decent Continental alternative is on offer.

A family run inn with a great eye on your comfort and enjoyment. Lovely room, great ‘continental’ breakfast with great choice, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, berries. A bit quirky and certainly not a ‘Travelodge’ type corporate blandness, in good part of Northumberland, close to castles and beautiful sandy beaches.

Owner explained development plans which will be of great benefit. A classic, small local

adequate breakfast with cheerful service. Good assortment of fruit.

We arrived at the expected time and there was no one there. The phone number went to answerphone. We tried many times to contact the owner. The owner returned our call after 2 hours and but didn't acknowledge we had had a real problem. The rest of the stay was fine.
