The apartment offers a lot of space, the kitchen is well equiped. After a rainy, cold and muddy hiking day you can easily dry your clothes and leave dirty shoes at the front door. The beds are comfortable and you have a sink in the bedroom as well as in the bathroom (one shower and one by the toilet).

It was such a stinky stay... And no, we don't mean (just) the usual experience of having smelly tap water that obviously comes straight from the source 😉. Apparently, the guests before us had fish for dinner in the apartment. And no one tried to get rid of this pungent smell. To be fair, it's not the host's fault what strong smelling food the previous guests prepared in the kitchen. But it is their decision to offer it like that to the next guests without even mentioning it. And even after we opened all the windows and doors to get rid of the smell, it was there all night in the whole apartement, extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable to sleep with.... Also, the bedrooms smelled like an old farmhouse - and not fresh hay, but old and worn like a barn. Maybe that was also due to the previous guests who left other smells ;). But unfortunately, the smell matched the generally very outdated look and feel of the apartment. As a result, we unfortunately did not feel very comfortable. We were glad that we were only here for one night. Also, you should plan your trip well as the check-in time frame is from 5pm - 8pm. We had to change our plan a bit due to the ever changing weather conditions, came an hour early and had to wait because even if you ring the bell, no one comes. Our feedback to the hosts: look around at other accommodations in Iceland that make check-in absolutely straightforward, for example in terms of self-check-in options or larger check-in time slots.

the furniture seemed very old and mixed from different households. and there was a bad smell in the whole apartment.

A really nice and lovely cabin.

The setting of the apartment was very convenient for the touristic highlights in the beautiful surroundings .And 200m from a supermarket and petrol station. Big appartement for 2 people, lots of space.We both had our own bedroom And many towels. Nice kitchen with enough equipment for cooking our own meals and breakfast. Spacious bathroom and washing basins in both sleeping rooms. Perfect WIFI Receptionist was kind. We enjoyed our stay here, despite all shortcomings.

We were thrown out of the apartment on the departure day by the cleaning ladies at 9.50, before the check out time of 11.00. They entered the apartment without our permission. We were not fully dressed and we had to pack our stuff quickly because they wouldn't stop, and they wouldn't talk to us. It felt if we were unwanted guests. The front door couldn't be locked, so everyone could walk in. It actually happend one night, when a family suddenly entered our house because they were mistaken and couldn't find their own apartment. They scared us, we thought they were burglars. At night , when sleeping, we didn't feel very safe. The fact that the front door was open when we were away didn't feel safe. We had to put our valuable things in our sleeping room with could be locked. But still it didn't feel good because anyone could enter the house and steal our stuff that was in the kitchen, hallway and bathroom ( food, toilet bags, coats and shoes etc) Furnishing was spartan: we only had kitchen chairs and a table to sit on every night. The couch was in hallway, very strange. There was no tv ( but we didn't miss it) The reception was not open until 17.00u so we had to drive around for 45 minutes. Because of the above we think the price is too high. The management should do something about the safety in apartment 7A.

Everyone was super nice and helpful. The apartment is huge and worth the money

The location was good, central to what we wanted to see, there was a supermarket within a short walk and the apartment was clean and provided the basic amenities we needed.

There was nothing homely or cosy about the apartment. It reminded me of the accommodation at an old Pontin’s holiday camp! It was a place to lay down our heads and sleep before moving on the next day, nothing more.

We have got the entire appartment for us, therefore everything was great.

Bathroom is outdated and need a renovation

I liked the location. It was close to the shop and it wasn’t grounded so many lights, so we could watch the northern lights.
