The rooms smelt really bad ,the window didn't close properly, bathrooms were dirty ,people partying out side our window untill 3am .

Central, right across the road from the railway station. Good pub, nice and clean, friendly staff and the food was nice.
Photos they use in advertising don’t quite match what you actually get. The room was old and small, I do understand it’s an old pub and the price is set accordingly.

The staff, the food, slept very good
WiFi reception didn't work in my room. Probably because it was at the far end. Room could've been a bit more updated but to my understanding, owners are busy doing so. My room just wasn't done yet.

I liked the old world feel of the hotel and the lead light windows. I had a recently renovated room, which proved to be quiet and comfortable and very reasonable for the cost. Close to shared bathrooms and a free help yourself tea, coffee and small shared fridge room. Bar and dining areas pleasant, and obliging staff.
Some rooms very run down. (Suggest request renovated one).

Friendly staff and patron's great selection drink's & menu's. Comfortable and staff are happy to help with your needs. My only gripe you can hear all of your neighbours but great value for money.
The shared unisex shower/bathroom a lock & a shelf could help.

The food and the location
The place was dirty bathroom and toilets smelt. Ceiling fans didn't work. Keys had trouble working. Very horrible place.

Standard pub stay. nice big room with 2 x double beds. good location in centre of town.
Some routine maintenance required, paint flaking from room ceiling, and 1 of the 2 showers on our side was non operational. but that is some of the charm of a pub stay.

This is a very friendly and welcoming hotel, and the accommodation is very reasonably priced. We had a great dinner in the hotel restaurant - excellent produce, beautifully prepared, and there is a nice selection of local wines. There is some free off-street parking behind the hotel, and it's just a short walk to the main shopping street.
Bear in mind that this grand old federation-era building is still being restored; no running water in the bedrooms or in the guest kitchen, and limited shared bathroom facilities.

Had a meal at the pub and it was excellent. Staff extremely friendly. Shared facilities where surprisingly good! No issues.
Could smell cigarette smoke from the games room in our room.
