We loved our week here. It was only 10 minutes outside of Lagos, and perfectly located to explore the south and west coast beaches of the Algarve - we could get everywhere within about 20-45 minutes. The gardens and the pool at the property were so well maintained. The hosts were super helpful and easy to contact with any questions via Whatsapp. Although they live on the property we barely saw them but knew they were there if we needed anything. We definitely recommend Quinta da Alquimia!

Quinta da Alquimia is comfortable place to stay in beautiful surroundings....in the country but only 15 minutes from Lagos. Luciana was more than helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and to recommend it.

The property is beautiful, worth staying in the pool one afternoon. The facilities are great, the room was super beautifully decorated and really clean, there's a parking spot. Really close to Lagos and to the highway.
Since I arrived after hours (after 20h), I had to give a detailed time of arrival and pay 20€ (and if arriving after 22h, 40€!). It would have been more comfortable if it was possible to get the key with a code.
Also, the little house I stayed had no doors inside - between bedroom and room, but also between bedroom and bathroom, which is definitely not very comfortable.

The room was great, very spacious with a bedroom separated from the living and kitchen space. The property has a nice garden and great pool.
There are many dogs at the property and during our first night we were keep awake by continuous barking of the dogs in front of our window. it started at 11 and happened again around 1 am. When complaining to the host we received a rather rude response: "they are outside dogs and you are the only client complaining..." (which was not true as our neighbors also complained to us about the dogs) and "you chooses a property in the country side". No sign of sympathy whatsoever.

Whilst in countryside it is not far from Lagos, Portimao etc... Comfortable and well insulated. We didn't suffer from cold despite very cold weather.
