Room warm , we had the fitted radiator and there was a plug in radiator.. Staff were great, really friendly and helpful . Surprised to find Netflix available on the TV. We had room 2 which was accessible. Covered porch and a bench outside.

Parking was very tight, did not help with poor parking by others.

Very friendly welcome and near to centre. Very nice ambience.

Food was a bit expensive. I did book for three twin rooms but one was a double, however it did not cause a problem. 2 friends did not mind sharing. Parking was not available, full up but parking nearby. My friend's car was damaged in the car park. Person who did it drove away.

Parking I think that's the only thing that could be improved If you book accommodation you should be able to reserve a parking space, we did get one But if we hadn't not sure how we would have got all our stuff and dogs to the accommodation

Thought the bedroom a little small

The area and overall village is lovely. There is ample parking within a large carpark near the centre. There are a good number of tea rooms, pubs and restaurants.

The pub mentioned that there had been a fire in their kitchen. This wasn’t mentioned to us before. I may have missed it in any description or fine print however. Because of the fire, there is a temporary kitchen in a courtyard, but this is right next to the rooms. Up untill 23:00 we could hear pots and pans being cleaned and the chefs laughing. It felt very cramped and made it difficult to relax. We were then woken by the breakfast service. Due to the temporary kitchen, the back of the pub looks like a building site. There were empty boxes and mess everywhere outside the rooms. We had to step over pipes and all sorts to get to the room.

Wir buchten zwei Zimmer für vier Personen für drei Nächte lange vor unserer Reise im September 2023. Bei der Ankunft erfuhren wir, dass wegen eines Brandes keine Mahlzeiten serviert wurden und wir zum Frühstück in den Ort gehen mussten. Das war ok, jedoch hätten wir storniert, wenn wir darüber informiert worden wären. Das gute Essen und die Atmosphäre im Speiseraum, die so gelobt wurden, waren Gründe für die Buchung. Unsere beiden Zimmer im Erdgeschoss rochen schlecht ( nach nassem Hund) und wurden während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht gereinigt, d.h. weder wurden Betten gemacht noch die Bäder gereinigt. Wir reisten nach der zweiten Nacht ab, gebucht und bezahlt waren drei. Auf unsere Email an den Besitzer, in der wir unsere Unzufriedenheit ausdrückten, erhielten wir bis heute keine Antwort.

die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich und das Pub/Restaurant hat eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück wird mit sehr viel Liebe frisch zubereitet.

Missed cleaning room one day and missed providing supplies on another day.

The staff are absolutely AMAZING!!!! Every single person was charming, friendly, helpful and just fantastic. Love the chef's too!! The breakfast was lovely, although I was surprised that the menu wasn't the one you show on your website.

The inn had a fire after our first of three nights.

The service could have been so much better, at one point there was 5 or 6 people waiting to be served at the bar with only 1 person serving and 2 staff members hovering around behind the bar chatting and on their phones. When we arrived down for breakfast there was a long wait to get acknowledged for even a coffee- after 20 mins I had to ask. Every table around us still had dirty plates where people had finished their breakfast and none of the tables had been cleared. The bedroom was very tired, bin hadn’t been emptied or hoovered. The shower would only work if you pressed and held the start button as soon as you let go the shower stopped.

Our room had the radiator on and could not be swtiched off. It was just too hot in the room, even with the fan on.

We booked a superior room and got a basic room that didn't even have tea and coffee making. The food in the bar was burnt to a cinder and was sent back.

Room ,small for a Superior King room, had no chairs or chest of drawers/dressing table; a small corner wardrobe was provided. In another corner the vent from the kitchen goes through the wall so there is vent noise, thankfully switched off at night. There was a large 12” stain on the bedroom carpet which wasn’t nice. The bathroom was missing a sanitary bin and instead had a wicker basket. The shower was good but had a screw thread for a handle as the original had gone. Black mould was prevalent around the sealant. An unsightly black mark on the wall near the toilet didn’t encourage further investigation. The bathroom fan didn’t work so the heated mirror was useless and the bathroom more like a sauna.
