Tolle Lage in den Bergen mit Blick aufs Mittelmeer (auch vom dem Jacuzzi aus). In wenigen Gehminuten (ca. 15 Minuten) ist man im nahe gelegenen mittelalterlichen Dorf Vence, wo es zahlreiche Geschäfte und Restaurants gibt. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen im Restaurant sind sehr lecker. Schöner Spa Bereich mit Jaccuzi, zwei Pools (Indoor und Outdoor), Dampfsauna, Liegen und Daybetten.

Wir hatten leider das Problem, dass an unserem ersten Nachmittag eine große Anzahl fliegender Ameisen hinter den Fußleisten unseres Hotelzimmers geschlüpft ist. Daraufhin bekamen wir ein neues Hotelzimmer (bessere Kategorie) zugewiesen, mussten dieses aber nach zwei Nächten wieder verlassen und in das ursprüngliche Zimmer zurückkehren. Leider war das Problem in der Zwischenzeit nicht wie besprochen beseitigt worden. Noch immer waren viele Ameisen unterwegs, die wir dann eigenhändig mit Insektenspray, welches uns die Rezeptionistin zur Verfügung stellte, bekämpft haben. Zudem muss man wissen, dass einige Zimmer (insbesondere die der niedrigeren Kategorien) in einem externen Gebäude über einem Tagungsraum liegen. Während unseres Aufenthaltes hat dort eine geschäftliche Tagung stattgefunden. Auf dem Weg zum Pool o. ä. läuft man also ggf. in Badelatschen und -mantel an einem Saal mit tagenden Geschäftsleuten vorbei. Das Restaurant ist sehr hochpreisig und drei Mahlzeiten am Tag nicht zu bezahlen (z. B. Frühstück 24 € p. P., Abendessen mit 3 Gängen ca. 100 € p. P.).

The location was a good base for seeing Vence, St Paul de Vence and Tourettes sur loup. Dining area was attractive. Petangue area was a welcome extra facility.

Breakfast was varied and ample but way too expensive (7e more expensive than an equivalent hotel in Bealieu sur mer) Balcony of room was covered in debris (even before the winds) and had no view because the trees were so close. Pool area a little tired, although softened by attractive flower beds. Dining staff great, reception staff ok. For the price of the accommodation, the loungers and towels need to be a little smarter. Generally, just expected a little more for the price of the stay.

We loved the boutique feel, amazing gardens/flowers, great spa and lovely food and drink

Better tea and coffee options in the room would be nice. If the rooms had an espresso machine it would be a great advantage

The Staff, the location and overall feel

WI-FI is a bit patchy but usable.

It's a really lovely hotel spread out so you don't feel on top of each other. The staff are wonderful and couldn't do enough for you.

the property itself is gorgeous and the grounds and rooms are very well maintained. The staff are all exceedingly friendly. the restaurant is super high quality, and has great staff, Pascal is a gem of a human being and we’ll be coming back for sure just because of the level of hospitality he provided along with the other staff.

depending on what room you are in it can be a long walk involving many staircases from your vehicle down to the room so pack light.

Lots to like: fabulous location, beautifully maintained and great resources. Really charming staff. The treatments in the spa were fantastic.

The food offering is a little rigid. Formal a la carte dining the only option in the evening. A simple room service menu would have been welcome, particularly as the restaurant is closed Sunday night to Tuesday lunch. Late night loud music for a couple of nights was intrusive.

Relaxing stay! The facilities were nice, the two pools and the hot tub were well kept and relaxing. The rooms were clean and quiet.

The service wasn’t quite at the standard we had expected for 4 star.
