Awesome staff on both reception, cafe for dinner an breakfast.very welcoming ,helpful. The hotel was simply elegant.and all contributed to great stay

The nightmare nightman was an absolute piece of work. His behavior was absolutely disgusting and his power tripping attitude left little to be desired. There was a complete lack of empathy and care. We were on a large relief mission to the Hawkes Bay just after the flooding. 2 truckloads of goods and two vehicles. After massive flooding at our own facility in Auckland that afternoon we rang to inform them we would be arriving early in the morning. We assured that was fine as they were a 24 hour hotel. Upon arrival at 3am the nasty little nightman had cancelled our 3 rooms and was refusing to give them back. We had 3 children with us and 3 couples and had booked 3 rooms. We had been driving since 5pm that night and were exhausted. He made us basically beg to have the accommodation back, treating us with a complete lack of care of empathy. It was gross. He ended up not giving us our original rooms back and we had to separate a single bed into the base and the mattress on the floor just so our 2 kids could have somewhere to sleep. Despite talking to the reception in the morning we never had a follow up. I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel ever

The massive space in the executive suite. Was absolutely perfect and not cramped. The close proximity to town and a petrol station

The stairs into hotel smelt mouldy and damp. The in house restaurant closed to early and opened late. Our spa didn't work.n No toaster or anything

Tired and LOTS of internal noise, sounds from other bathrooms, doors slamming all night, people knocking on doors, very noisy internal hallways. Its super old, but okay. Cleanliness average.

Great room service.

We have stayed here before and had a back suite, did not like being so close to the main road.

Room had a bad smell. Carpets was not vacuumed Bathroom door at the back looked like someone has spilled coffee on it. Toaster bottom was broken

Breakfast and dinner okay. Lack of real coffee at Sunday breakfast was a downer

I was told at reception that if I was not in by 10 pm, I would be locked out. This is totally unacceptable in my opinion

Convenient, adequate space, close to restaurants. Have stayed here before and found it aok.

Couldn’t get the wifi to reach our room the duration of our stay. Also annoying bright light outside that shone directly through the window into our studio appartments all night.

Gym - needs equipment fixed and cleaning gear left out.

Good Location & the Staff were cool.

My first room i got given was dirty, had dried up blood on the door frame, had a random show under one of the beds. Second room we got given was a tad bit better but it was hot while we were staying there & the Air Condition (Heat Pump) was not working & the windows were useless!

The beds in the “nicer” rooms are lumpy, the ac in the room didn’t work so the room was hot.

Nothing about it. room was shaby and room wasn't even cleaned out the next day and towels and linen etc weren't replaced had to go to front desk to get new ones.

It was a good location and the staff were friendly. Plenty of off street parking.

It wasn't clean, this was especially noticeable in some corners of the bathroom. A chair with stained cover. A musty smell in the room. It needs an update.
