Entire hotel except Restaurants were excellent
The food: Lack of choice; not particularly good; identical menu every day; too much attempt at pretence of fine dining, when it was the least good place we ate on our entire holiday

It is an excellent hotel with all needs covered within the facility; you do not need to go anywhere. It is situated in the lake, with great SPA and amazing rooms.
Food is only served up to 21:30, too early if you want to dine at a later hour.

This is an amazing hotel, very grand with excellent facilities. Be positioned on the lake was so picturesque, the staff were very helpful and restaurants superb.

Endroit magnifique et établissement au top avec 2 excellents restaurants.
Les équipements sont super et la partie spa est exceptionnelle.
Personnel également au top, bref établissement haut de gamme.

Mais aussi des clients avec leur chien au restaurant, vraiment pas top, cela devrait être interdit dans un établissement de ce niveau (chien bruyant de surcroît).
Attention aussi à l'escalier de la piscine intérieure (côté opposé à celui avec les rampes) dont la première marche est très basse, je me suis fait très mal au dos en entrant dans la piscine par cet escalier .

The staff were all so helpful and the service of hospitality they gave to everyone was first rate.
The breakfast choice was amazing and the restaurants and bar, bar food was delicious.

All staff were amazing, very polite and very helpful. Every single detail is thought of and taken care of.
The only minor thing that I would suggest is to look into better soundproof rooms. If you didnt wake up early in the morning you could somtimes hear other guests in the corridors .

Magnificent hotel! Location was amazing.
Our room was a little dated. No charging plugs by the bedside and we didn’t have a bath. Other than that it was perfect. So quiet and we slept well.

Having visited most if not all the "Grand" Hotels around Como and Garda in the last 20 years we have decided that we like this hotel the best. It has improved greatly since our last visit four years ago. The Spa has been refurbished and is now splendid. The two restaurants, one fish orientated and the other haute cuisine are very good and we understand that a Michelin Star for the latter could be imminent.
Perhaps a more ambitious range of wines by the glass in the restaurants. Shower a little weak and unpredictable for a hotel which has everything else. Of course a hotel as good as this will make a hole in your wallet: but unlike some you do get what you pay for.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.
We celebrated our first wedding anniversary and the team surprised us with little treats during the stay which was wonderful.
The tasting menu in Il Fagiano was delicious and we were very well looked after by Giuseppe and his team. a special mention for Guiseppe who also provided us some travel recommendations for Sardinia and the end of season event at Grand Hotel Fasano, additionally we would like to highlight Carin who was very attentive and friendly (she also organised an extra set of the delicious crackers for us), finally we would like to say thank you to Rama (the Bar Manager) who was very knowledgeable and he gave us a great overview into the world of Amare.
We had a great stay and look forward to returning!
