Very much like in photographs. The view is Beautiful & the Villa was clean and well equipped. The bed is Very comfortable and linens are soft. The owner was available and receptive to any our needs. The pool was clean and well maintained. Would absolutely stay at Villa Bamboo again. Can’t wait to come back!

The property was fantastic! The views were spectacular, the house was very clean, great A/C! The deck furniture and pool were perfect on hot days! We could easily live there!

Overall, this is a very nice property.
Pluses:
- Beautiful views of Grand Cul de Sac bay and beach
- Very private pool area
- Nice outdoor features (multiple areas w/lounge chairs, motorized sun shade)
- Communicative, helpful owners
- Walkable to Grand Cul de Sac beach and restaurants
Minuses:
Nothing really the owners could do, but a couple of things to consider:
- If you want to take a taxi to dinner, we found it difficult to arrange and quite expensive (€100+, round trip to St. Jean or Gustavia). We finally found Ben (+590 690 66 13 48) who was very good. If you don’t mind driving after dark or drinks, then it’s not a problem.
- Mosquitoes / no-see-ums can be a problem. I didn’t get bit, but my wife, who is more susceptible to mosquitoes, did. Mosquito repellent is a must if you tend to get bit.
- Don’t leave any food out anywhere as we saw some ants. Use ziploc bags or put in fridge.

This was our 2nd visit to St. Bart's and 2nd stay at Villa Bamboo in two years and it is perfect for us in every way. Every day on the island was an adventure for us and we love the villa and the breath-taking sounds and sights. The villa is very well laid out, very relaxing, very private, and quiet and has gorgeous views of Grand Cul de Sac and the sea. While I never return to the same place in my travels because there is lots to see and explore in the world, once you have found the perfect place, it is hard not to return. David and Sarah are both great and we are grateful to them for making the villa available. Thank you, David and Sarah!

We just completed a wonderful 3 week stay at Villa Bamboo. Our 30th trip to SB. VB was perfect for the 2 of us. Private and quiet. Daily walks down the hill to the beach at Grand Cul de Sac. Beautiful view. Great breezes. Weekly maid, twice weekly pool man, gardener trimming pushes to enhance view and mosquito spraying all were welcome touches. Can’t wait to return!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. I loved the outdoor space that is peaceful and private. We swam in the pool in the morning and late afternoon after returning from the beaches or hiking. We cooked dinners in the outdoor stove and ate outside many nights. Breakfast outside was a perfect way to start the day. The indoors were clean and comfortable and we liked the decor. The bed was super comfortable too. Overall, it was a great base from which to explore the island and all the incredible beaches. We would definitely like to return.

We spent 10 days at this beautiful and comfortable villa. For being a single bedroom villa, it had an additional sitting room that was very comfortable. We were very pleased being there. We have no criticisms, only nice things to say. Would love to stay there again.

This villa was everything we needed and was well-maintained and cleaned/ready for our stay. The location was close to Grand cul de sac which offers beautiful swimming/water sports as well as delicious restaurant opportunities. Nearby is wonderful hiking. The online information was helpful and the host met us the evening of our arrival. The photos are accurate and the sleeping accommodations are very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. Beautiful views and secluded. We also enjoyed the blooming plants maintained around the deck. Since we spent most of our time on the patio the outside kitchen worked well for us. Inside was very nice and well maintained. Great hardwood floors. A small vehicle like a mini is highly recommended for the driveway and parking. This was a very comfortable stay for two. We stumbled across some additional house rules in the living room. One recommendation to the host would be to include these either on the listing itself or provide them at the time of booking for transparency. We did try to contact Sarah at check-out without success, but that could have very well been technical difficulties on our end. Regardless, great place, great stay, we definitely recommend to others.

Villa Bamboo was an absolutely perfect spot for my wife and I to go on our honeymoon! The pictures do not do it justice. It is the perfect place to get away with your partner. Between the private pool, outdoor kitchen, and short walk to the beach, it has everything that you need for a perfect getaway. We are already talking about making a return trip in the future!

Villa Bambo was a perfect villa for the two of us in every way. The villa is very well laid out, very relaxing, very private, and quiet and has gorgeous views of Grand Cul de Sac and the sea. You will need a car to visit various parts of St. Barth, but Grand Cul de Sac Beach is a five minute walk and has great beaches, a number of fine dining options, ocean scenery, sea turtles and various water activities. We are very grateful to David and Sara for making the villa available. All communication with David and Sarah was exceptional and prompt (Sarah lives next door to the villa). This was our first visit to St Barth, and we hope to return next year. We would definitely would and hope to stay at Villa Bambo when we return. Thank you, David and Sarah!

The house is charming and perfect for a couple. The bathroom is large and the outdoor space and view are an absolute dream.
I was concerned about past reviews saying that there were a lot of mosquitoes and the bathroom was really hot … neither of these things were issues.
I have only 2 complaints. The house was not as clean as I would have liked upon our arrival and there were a number of things that I felt were on the brink of breaking or were already broken and hastily repaired, making me nervous to use them.
I notified the hosts. They were very responsive for the duration of our stay.

Villa Bamboo is exactly as described by David. The house is very private which we loved and why we didn't stay at a hotel. The pool was great but could have used a heater for night swimming, but we knew this going in. The view was like a postcard. The air conditioning got the two rooms as cold as we ever wanted them. The bed was very comfortable. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this place will feel a little bohemian for you. If you are looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and private home to stay in St Barths, this place is what you want. We had so much fun and felt very taken care of while there by Sarah, David's sister who lives next door. We would return.

Villa Bamboo is a pure joy to spend a relaxing and peaceful vacation .The Villa is well appointed with comfortable furnishings, a very comfortable bed, and tasteful decorations appropriate for a sea front location. The view of Grand du Cul de Sac is grand, with star filled sky’s each night. The pool is totally refreshing any time of the day, as it provides a quick wake-up, or late afternoon cooling down. The deck provides a special place to relax, enjoy the view or to just veg out. The kitchen is fine for basic needs, but as one typically eats out in St Barts, the kitchen is fine. The location is excellent for privacy and easily accessed with the directions and video provided. We truly loved Villa Bamboo and were very reluctant to leave.

Perfect property for a couple
The house is excellent for a couple. Well appointed on the inside. Had everything you need for a stay. Entrance is through the bathroom which bothered other guests but wasn’t a big deal. The only negative, which wasn’t a negative about the house itself, were the directions to reach the property. Having never been to the island before, it took about 2 hours to figure out where the house was. The issue was probably just us being American and preferring road names or at least directions with distances. Otherwise, was an outstanding place to stay and I would absolutely recommend it. The host was communicative and Sarah was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing villa!
We had such a great time staying at David's place. It is PERFECT for two people and very private. The location is so great--you can walk easily to the beach and access multiple hotel restaurants! The Villa was very easy to find using Google Maps and had everything we needed for our stay. We were greeted upon arrival and knew how to reach out if we had questions. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting. We had an amazing time :)

What a trip. The property is even better than the listing photos show with an upgraded TV - and plenty of amenities to make the stay easy and fun (beach chairs, cooler, mosquito rackets, etc). Great value and location in St Barths!

The property is beautiful and well maintained, the photos speak for themselves. The hosts are extremely friendly and it's great to have them next door in case you need anything.
