Swimming pool's changing room could have been a bit more refined

We stayed here for a week. It's our 4th time at this hotel. The staff were all brilliant especially Elene, Simone, Andrea, Christina, and Owen, they all went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. The pool was fabulous the room spacious and clean. Breakfast was good and Andrea made special stuff for us...we just had to ask. Simone and Elene got us sorted with hired bikes to ride into town. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

everything! but you do need a car to get to the center. you cannot walk. I took a taxi

that you couldn’t walk to the center.

There was a really bad smell in our room of mould and damp.

The check in staff were lovely and overall did their best to accomodate us given that the website and details on Booking.com did not match what was at the hotel. We received an upgrade given the standard room we booked was not ready at 14:00. The pool was lovely and massages (at an extra cost) were beautiful. The intentions of the staff were positive.

Unfortunately, it was not a great start to our holiday. I have never been one to have to speak with management but in this case, we needed to. In fact, in the rooms there was a message sharing that feedback was encouraged. We had many small issues that we addressed with the hotel staff who were loevly and understood our perspective. The manager was not available to speak with us even when we asked. No towels upon arrival in our room (had to ask repeatedly to be told they were not back from laundry), broken things in the room, no tv reception, no shuttle bus to the beach, issues with the restaurant (it is nothing like what is advertised on the website) no pricing for meals, no menu and when we asked were told it was set menu of seafood but when we arrived it was basic pasta and meat, an open pool to the public so no beach chairs for us (had to request this a lot and eventually had some brought to us that were broken), the pool is open to the public for zumba, swimming lessons and gym - not a relaxing vibe. None of this was communicated upon check in. It seems there are a lot of big ideas and vision but the simple comforts are not met even when asked with patience and kindness.
