An absolutely fabulous place with a magnificent view, couple of minutes walk from the town. Quiet and relaxing. The hosts were very welcoming. We’re very happy to have found this gem! Our stay was perfect.

We liked everything about this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and had a great ambiance. Simon and Kirsty, the proprietors went to great lengths to make our stay special and found a perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. Dungallan is a lovely B&B in a beautiful setting. It's housed in an historic building. It has been completely renovated with beautiful bespoke furnishings. The co-managers, Simon and Kirsty and so friendly and attentive.

We stayed at the Dungallan in October 2022 both before and after a trip we took to Mull. We had originally booked to stay elsewhere but changed our booking, based on the reviews of the Dungallan. We were particularly attracted by the location, overlooking the bay across Oban, and its convenience for getting into the town, and our four-night stay (in total) at the Dungallan did not disappoint. Kirsty and Simon were wonderful hosts. Simon showed us around the property on arrival. We stayed in two different rooms during our visit, one of which had a loch view, but both were cosy and well-appointed and had everything you could need including Smart TV, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, and nice little touches like homemade tablet and Tunnock's treats. We also enjoyed sampling the whiskies and gins in the extremely well-stocked bar, and took advantage of the library to enjoy some quiet time in between trips out, and to escape the not so great weather. The breakfasts were terrific - a great range of cereals, juices, fruit, tea, coffee and hot, cooked breakfasts, including gluten free and vegan selections. The whole team went out of their way to ensure a great stay, from offering lifts into town, to supplying us with water for our onward journey, to asking us how our day was and suggesting restaurants and shops in town. Little touches like these really do make a difference, and it's clear to see why the Dungallan is highly rated as a 5* establishment. Simon mentioned the place had undergone a complete refurbishment and only reopened in June under new management. The whole team has done a fantastic job to deliver an exceptional hotel experience that we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Excellent location an easy walk to the centre. Simon and Kirsty were superb hosts. The facilities were outstanding.

Location, staff, comfort and service were all above expectation. Managers Simon and Kirsty were very welcoming. All facilities were shown to our group by Simon with nothing too much trouble. Simon also provided courteous and efficient service in bar lounge area with suggestions for our pre dinner drinks. Cheerful and helpful service at breakfast provided by local ladies. Kippers especially were appreciated by our menfolk. All food cooked and presented very well. Good buffet choices also.

The only tiny comment was that breakfast tea was not brewed with BOILING water. Anything other than boiling does not infuse properly and the result is less than enjoyable. A very minor issue.

Superb location overlooking Oban bay. Refurbished to a luxury standard with excellent design and furnishings. Such a warm welcome. Kirsty and Simon are exemplary hosts.

Simon, Kirsty, and the entire team at Dungallan Country House provided us with exceptional service during our three night stay at their property. The check-in process made us feel special, with a short tour of the property. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy, and even the amenities in the room were well thought out. Wifi worked great, the smart TV has free streaming services, coffee and tea in the room, all of it was great. The breakfast in the mornings was also fantastic, with plenty of options for the two of us.
