I liked the wellness area... until the group of fully dressed people entered the area, walked around, checked every sauna, took photos, stood there and discussed - all w/o asking if that won't disturb, while the hotel guests were inside... Guests are relaxing in swimming suits and barefoot, while the whole group walked there in shoes. Turned out they were accompanied by a hotel manager, who was sure this whole situation is perfectly fine.

Visitors in SPA in shoes, clothes, taking photos, checking each sauna inside and disregarding the customers. I raised a complain to a hotel manager, but turned out it was the same lady who led the group into the SPA, who - now watch - belongs the the hotel owner's family. So she is hired by them and group visiting the Wellness was actually the family themselves :D The manager was feeling totally ok with her behaviour. It was the most unprofessional conversation with a customer I have ever seen: - she tried to make me feel sympathy for her: "but it was my family" - tried to stress their importance: "they want to invest in another object here" - tried make me feel sorry for them: "but they came from a really long trip" - I gave her some tips on how she could handle this better- she didn't bother - instead she stated "they were in clothes and shoes, but I couldn't tell them to change to swimming suits" (that was certainly not my advice). The apology at the end sounded like she didn't care at all. Restaurant: - the most clumsy staff seen in NL, only 1 good waiter - a waiter was convincing me they have only 1 rose in the menu - w/o checking in the menu. well, he was wrong, I saw 2, I ordered both of them - so waiter is not having a clue what the restaurant offers - very bad quality of wine. It qualifies as bad and extremely bad. Think about the cheapest one from the supermarket - the receptionist told us breakfast is open till 11:00. When we went there at 10:30, the lady informed us they are closing now and we are wrong with 11:00. We explained that is what we learned during check in the evening before- she continued convincing us it is not correct, not possible, and we are wrong :D Same happened to other guests next day - the same breakfast every day, very limited. Rooms: no basin to wash hands in WC; service left a dirty cloth for 3 days on a night stand...

Great Hotel. Very pleasant staff. Comfortable room. Excellent spa.

Fabulous location for cycling to Middelburg. Very well put together, with a spacious feel. Room 1311 super comfortable and quiet.

Dinner was a little disappointing.

Pool area and spa was very clean and accessible.

Would have liked to be able to sit outside near the pool area as it is sheltered and in the sun, however that terrace area was closed off with no bar available.

a bathrobe was missing, which is strange for this type of hotels.

Spacious and confortable rooms, nice garden.

No slipers, no dental kit, the staff at the reception polite, but not very friendly. We had to ask for the TV remote control at the reception. A little pricey for the location.

New, modern, spacious, neatly decorated, super clean spa and swimming pool area - ideal for a weekend break!
