Excellent, Excellent, excellent, the room we had was lovely and clean good size very comfortable, the location is good short walk to the front & town centre, and as for Valentina and Richard the hostes lovely couple very attentive, my wife and I would highly recommend the Norwood, will be returning sometime in the future, thank you Valentina & Richard.

If you are looking for a small guest house (just three rooms), with free unreserved parking, look no further. The room was large and very clean with a comfortable seating area, the breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very welcoming. Highly recommended.

The weather on Saturday

I liked everything about the Norwood Guest House. It is cosy, comfortable, classy, and felt like a home away from home, only more luxurious. Our room was immaculately clean, and the decor tasteful. The beds were very comfortable, and surprisingly, for a hotel in the centre of the town, once in our room all was quiet. The guest house has plenty of personality, with stacks of books and classic Teddy bears to keep a friendly eye on us. Our hosts, Richard and Valentina, were attentive, welcoming and friendly, happy to chat to us and share their knowledge of Southport with us. We felt that they were pleased to have us there, from the little chocolates on our bedside tables, and the nasturtium decorations at breakfast, to the lovely card we received. Breakfast was equally delightful, and we were encouraged to place our hot food order the night before with bread for toasting bought fresh each morning. Portions were generous and we could mix and match items. The crockery and cutlery were tasteful and classy, and it was lovely being made to feel special through little touches such as the toast being kept warm with a cloth over its basket and the butter with its decorative seal imprint. Our en suite bathroom was small yet perfectly formed and the shower was just the right level of powerful for us. We felt looked after, safe and secure at the Norwood, which was important for us as two girls travelling alone. I know I'll be booking the Norwood again next time I'm in Southport. Thank you, Richard and Valentina, for making our stay so very enjoyable!

There wasn't anything I didn't like, and nothing I would change.

The breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and very tasty. It is located very conveniently for everything you want in Southport.

Bathroom was a little cramped

Great breakfast and plenty of choices. Valentina and Richard were excellent hosts and couldn’t have done any more to have made our visit better . Would definitely recommend this B&B to everyone and would go back.

The stairs but you would expect these in a Victorian house. Didn’t put us off.

They don’t need to change anything. They have the balance right. They understand what is required and make it happen without obvious effort. Full marks. It was an education in how good the best B&B could be.

Our second stay at Norwood. Richard and Valentina offer a very friendly and comfortable stay with high attention to detail from bathroom supplies to refreshments in the the room. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the breakfast choice is superb from plenty of fresh fruit to lovely freshly cooked hot food. Location very convenient for Lord Street and the Front. Thank you!

Everything was perfect Spotlessly clean and super room size, bed was fantastic, slept soundly. Facilities top notch. Breakfast, had plenty of choice, beautiful fresh produce, full English Roger and Valentina were fabulous and nothing was to much trouble.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at the Norwood with excellent hosts. Norhing was too much trouble. Our room was large, spotless and very comfortable with a huge bed. A bonus in the room was the comfy sofa. Breakfast was excellent with a very good range of choices. Another bonus was being able to park on the forecourt . All in all a lovely, relaxing stay.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Although the guest house is very central, it is very quiet at night and we slept very well in the comfortable king size bed. The breakfast was superb with a great selection of fresh fruit, cereal & cooked food. We were attending a wedding locally and Richard even arranged a taxi for us.

The cleanliness and exceptional high standard of decor in the room we stayed in was impressive. And the hospitality shown to us during our stay was first class. One of the best bed and breakfast establishments we have stayed in Southport to date.

What a superb couple, brilliant, attentive, welcoming, friendly and warm hosts. The cleanliness was second to none. Our stay at the Norwood was wonderful, we've stayed in many B&B establishments and without doubt this stay was amongst the very best. The small details made the stay extra special

It would be unfair to say we didn't like any aspect of our stay at the Norwood ... if nothing changed we would 100% recommend it as it's a superb, warm, friendly and ultra clean B&B - we would book again in a heartbeat Only a few very minor points could be tweaked for us personally, rest assured the absence of these tweaks wouldn't in anyway effect our decision to book again or downgrade our stay in anyway. A slightly less firm mattress, we had a superb quality bed, but it was a little too firm for us, we slept well but a little stiff when we woke. Another point and again only to improve what was a superb stay for us would be maybe a smart tv or smart stick with the ability to stream shows from popular streaming services using our own account.
