The location was nice, as it was in the center of the town. Close to local amenities. Off-street parking garage was also close by. The host made an effort to solve problems, after the fact. The place has a certain charm and fit for a couple, so we knew it might not be big enough.

AC was not sufficient and barely worked. No arrangements had been made to provide a fan or better AC deal with heat wave. The extreme hear made it very difficult to sleep and really relax. The apt. was smaller than we thought, the layout was not ideal for us. It is also located just above bars and restaurants and so it was very loud at night, which we were not made aware of beforehand. The owner failed to communicate basic info before our arrival, such as the process for picking up the key and parking instructions. Local street regulations prevented us from dropping off luggage at the property and we spent a lot of time driving around, trying to figure out what to do. The owner seemed unaware of how street access worked. Had we been told that the layout of the old town was such that driving thru many very small streets near the property was not advisable, we would have parked, rather than drive around.

Location of the duplex was ideal, perfect for taking in Saint-Tropez

The apartment shares a space (it is a duplex after all) with Koh Petrie, a popular (and very good) Thai Restaurant/Bar that plays loud festive music late into the night. This apartment is physically on top of and beside this restaurant. And now across the narrow alley another very popular wine bar opened, and going in/out of the apartment feels like you're doing so right from the wine bar. The only way to not let this drive you nuts is to join the party at the restaurant, or stay out until 2am.

position was great , right in the centre of the old town. 2 minutes from the Old Port and to shops and bars

the problem of this property that was not correctly advertised while it must is that it is located literally ABOVE a restaurant that becomes a disco bar from 10pm EVERY Thu-Fri-Sat. So basically due to the loud music you cannot sleep. it feels like you are in the disco yourself. the flat was ok and corresponding to the description but there was not mention of the noise/disco which of course it was a big problem, especially if you are travelling with young children or if you are looking for a short but relaxing break.
