Beautiful location, great hosts, pool was very needed in the summer. You definitely need a car to stay/travel here but it's quick to get to many places from Carcassone to the mountains.

(Visitng in summer) Ventilation/investment in AC would be fantastic (think it's quite common to not have AC in france). Temp was 40C in the day and above 30C in the night, even with fans + all doors and windows open it was pretty tough to sleep well.

Great place to rest, read a book, wonderful pool and kitchen facilities.

A toilet downstairs would have been appreciated. The toilets were both upstairs meaning that when someone staying downstairs had to use the bathroom, they’d necessarily wake up the whole house, staircase and floorboards were creaking thunderously

Reviews for Holiday Home x6 pers, 1 Double, 1 Twin & Bunk Beds Gite 1 Mirablle - The original Vigneron’s cottage, tastefully renovated leaving a lot of the old, original features, but a bit dark inside. Domaine de Palatz is located amongst the beautiful Minervois landscape. The property itself is in a rural location and parts of it very old; so don’t expect a pristine, 5* swanky property, but it’s full of character. It shows that the owners have lovingly restored the buildings and put in a lot of hard work - but there is still a bit more to do to bring this property up to match the current, online pictures. Note that evening meals are not currently provided. GOOD - Beautiful views from the property. - Jodie and James are very welcoming & considerate hosts - Beautiful Courtyard: the Gites share the same, shaded, old courtyard - where the BBQ resides and attractive tables & chairs. At night, the lighting is very atmospheric. Great place to sit. - Pool Area: lovely Summer House area with Honesty Bar. Nice seating area with sofa.Lots of beds and shades. Towels provided.

TO NOTE: - The road leading up to the property is an uneven dirt track. - Gite 1 is a bit dark inside; pictures for Gite 1 are now a bit out of date on the websites. - No AC but there are Ceiling fans in both the upstairs bedrooms. - Pool cushions were always full of water so would benefit from being stored in the Summer House when rain is forecast. - Double bedroom in need of a blackout curtain or blind, and have an over linen sheet that actually fits the bed.

The room was large and cosy, the pool was great, the breakfast delicious and the host were very friendly and helpfull. All in all a great place.

The lack of proper air conditioning, since the weather was really hot during our stay.

This was a fantastic relaxing place to stay. Rather quiet but well located to visit Carcassonne, the lovely villages nearby and the beaches. The swimming pool with the annex summer bar was always an area of rest in between activities. Both Jodie and James were excellent hosts and we hope to be able to return some day to again enjoy these good vibes.

Nothing really

This is the best place I've been. Everything is perfect. This is a family-run hotel where love, harmony, tranquility and beauty live. A place of tranquility, relaxation and a pleasant atmosphere. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely return. Very attentive attitude, cleanliness, good decoration, delicious and beautiful breakfast, pleasant atmosphere, silence and a gorgeous view from the window. It is a paradise.

Location was great. Owners are really lovely and very accommodating and helpful. The domaine is really nice with lots of nice terrace space and super dog friendly with walks around the whole area.

We stayed for a week in a lovely Gite. Was stylish but not very comfortable for a long stay. We kept banging our heads constantly as it has low ceilings, stairs and entrances everywhere. There also wasnt any storage for our stuff. Would have been ok for couple of days.

The hosts are very helpful and nice.
