Shower stall did not have any complimentary shampoo. For senior citizen a shelf for soap and a handle bar would be useful.

If I am to write of the accomodation itself I was highly pleased with my stay, with incredible value for money Girasole offers significant value. However, I believe Girasole B&B is at it's best as a motel, as it is in convenient (but not audible) proximity to the highway. On site parking is available. For those (such as myself) who are not driving, it takes a bit longer to arrive. Though I don't know the local bus system as I took the scenic route and walked the beach to Gianola village. Furthermore, I don't know what driving in Italy is like, so I can't comment on that aspect in regards to the roads leading into Gianola. That said, the area (Gianola village) is great as a place to unwind amongst otherwise rigorous travels. I felt recharged and ready at the end of my stay. The most significant attraction is the beach, and many good restaurants are also in the area at a good price. You will also gain a special card for the stay that provides 10% off the fee for select restaurants. Breakfast at the B&B is had in a common area on the deck/veranda/terrace where the reception is. It is of the Southern Italian style in that the breakfast is small and composed of various cakes, and coffee. The machine makes fairly good coffee. There is also a simple bookshelf with books in Italian mostly. The room was perfect, clean and comfortable. Unbelievable value for money there.

Before I proceed here I must say that any issues I had were in respect to things outside of the B&B. Girasole do a great job with everything within the B&B. Allora, The area appears to have some interesting historic sights that seem to be somewhat difficult to reach, such as the Castel di Gianola which only opens occasionally despite being such a tempting place to visit as one of the key landmarks of the village. The supplied map on arrival at the B&B seems to depict the parks as actual public parks, instead the one on the east side adjacent to the Castel di Gianola is a private area for camper trailers, with the Castel completely walled off by vegetation. The other park on the west end of Gianola seemed a bit run down, so I didn't bother. Possibly misleading, but otherwise info on the streets, restaurants, lido etc. Were accurate. The proprietor and I had a brief situation where payment for breakfast and the city tax was processed twice, however the situation was easily resolved and I was refunded the amount over-paid. Keep an eye on the machine. There is also a small language barrier with the staff, though given my travel style I like embracing the process of cultural emersion and language exchange, but if you don't speak Italian I would recommend learning little bit to aid communication.

As a basic unit it was alright. Everything seemed to work and the location was good, right by the sea. Ideal as a holiday let.

The staff member that I met was pleasant but didn't speak English (but then, I'm in Italy so why should they?)

the location and size of the apartment was perfect for my wife and me. It was a short walk to the beach and we also liked the complimentary free umbrella and chairs at the beach. There was wifi but we didn't need it. the bathroom and shower were nice and there was free secure parking.

The breakfast was very simple. But, again, this was not a major issue for us. We really enjoyed our stay here and recommend this accommodation.

Staff very friendly, good breakfast, nice beach just 5 minutes walk away and very clean.

Bed a bit uncomfortable. Allow an extra 20 euros a day for 1Umbrella and 2 chairs on beach .tourist tax payable when you arrive.

Cleanliness, convenient location to the beach. Owner is meticulous in maintaining property.
