Villa in 2 Acres: Large Heated Private Pool; 360 deg. Stunning Views; Free WIFI

We spend wonderful 2 weeks in this beautiful and relaxing house. Tony and Linda are wonderful hosts and have made some small but nice adjustment to the house during the years. We love the outdoor shower, the well maintaned property and the stunnig view with the pool and the mountains. Communication as always uncomplicated.
If you are looking for a peaceful and close to natur place- this it is.

Very nice owners and a great location. Casa del Falcetto offered pure tranquility, with deer and kites in the sky. A wonderful escape from everyday life… Thank you, Tony!

We recently enjoyed 2 weeks at the property and it was exactly as we had hoped - quiet, relaxing and a great getaway from our hectic lives. The road in was not as precarious as others had mentioned and once at the home it’s fantastic. The views are wonderful and all the conveniences one would expect are at your fingertips. We would definitely recommend this property.

Linda & Tony are gracious hosts and know their villa's surroundings well so all tips were spot on. The villa is beautifully situated with no immediate neighbors so a relaxing stay is guaranteed for those of us looking for peace and quiet. For off-season stays its best to check carefully the restaurant opening times, but plenty good places around. Car with a higher clearance recommended, especially if venturing to smaller back roads.

We stayed at this villa for 2 weeks and it was in such an idyllic location. The view of the mountains was breath taking. We went in August and it was very hot so having the pool there was an absolute god send. The temperature was perfect and it was well maintained.
We did 3 big trips to Lucca, Florence and Pisa. We drove to Lucca (unfortunately the local train doesn't run anymore) and Pisa without any issues, takes around 90 minutes. For Florence we drove to La Spezia and caught the train from there, again very easy. It turned out that on the return journey, business class was cheaper than standard class and included snacks and drinks! Definitely worth checking beforehand.
The house itself was very clean but did get hot at night, however fans are provided in each room. The curtains are white and thin so if you have light sleepers it's worth bringing along some blackout blinds. One of the beds was quite squeaky but other than that everything was very well equipped and maintained.
There are a variety of larger supermarkets in Aulla (including Lidl) which were handy to stop at on the way back up to the house from day trips out. Agriturismo Spino Fiorito restaurant is definitely worth a visit, the food was incredible.
Overall, a wonderful stay that we thoroughly enjoyed 😃

After spending 3 weeks in Casa del Falcetto in 2020 we were very excited if we would love the place again so much. What should I say? We felt like coming home! The house has everything that we need, the pool is lovely and the view is stunning. Linda and Tony are lovely and welcoming hosts given all the current information you need ahead.
Looking forward to 2024!

Our family of 5 had a lovely, comfortable stay. The property is exactly as pictured. The beds were very comfortable. We stocked up at the Penny Market in Aulla and enjoyed exploring the area. A day trip to Luca and Cinque Terre were amazing.

This home is just wonderful! The house, the views, all of it. If you want a cozy spot with peace and quiet, one with good restaurants around, or a kitchen to try your own Italian cooking in, this is it. And the pool is an added bonus. Tony answered any questions we had and left us some lovely wine. Such a pleasant place to spend a vacation! Was tough to leave!

Lovely
The villa is in a great position looking over to Monte pisanino ,
After a hectic day poolside nothing can beat sitting with a glass of local wine looking at that view
This is our second visit and all being well we intend to make a third visit next year
Thank yo7 Tony and Linda

Magic Mountain view
This property is magical. From the house to the pool very very private to the most amazing view. Well appointed beautiful and clean. Could not fault it. We had the best time there and highly recommend if you want peace and quiet. We went on lots of easily accessible day trips with our car but the train and bus stations are close by if needed. We had some authentic Italian meals in the many restaurants dotted around the district. Can not recommend this place highly enough.

We had a great holiday. One of the best locations in years. Especially the view onto the mountains is fabulous. Tony is a great host. Excellent communication. The house is perfect for a family of 6.

Our stay exceeded our expectations. We came for peace, quitet and relaxation and we got exactly that. Everything was well equipped and the view and pool was spectacular.

For everyone looking for peace and quietness, the perfect house with lots of privacy. Unfortunately we also had a few rainydays during our stay and discovered that the house is very smal for six people. We also understand something else under the cleaning-description “a standard that most sensitive people would consider satisfactory”.
When the sun is shining, the great potential of the property comes into its own. The large pool with the max. 23 degrees warm water (october), enough seating and lounging options and a great grill.
The house is equipped with almost everything necessary. The beds were very comfortable.
However, there was no dining table for 6 people in the house. We had to help ourselves out with the garden table. We also missed a real coffee pot in the land of good coffee.
Kenneth, who was responsible for the pool, was a great help. He always responded immediately to our calls and gave us many helpful and up-to-date tips for restaurants, markets and shops in the region. Thank you Kenneth!

Stunning views and beautiful, comfortable villa with swimming po
We had an amazing time staying at Cassa Falcetto. The house is just lovely and had everything we needed. It is tastefully and simply decorated and was perfect for our needs. The view is simply stunning and takes your breath away. The swifts fly down and drink from the pool while you are in it and other than a few mildly irritating horsefly bites there were virtually no mosquitos. The roads are challenging but we soon got used to it and had various trips to local villages which was fun but we didn’t do much sightseeing due to Covid 19. It was the perfect covid getaway! Paul was very helpful and quick to respond when we had a problem and all in all it was a super relaxing holiday

Wonderful place to stay
This property has everything you need. We visited in October and were lucky enough to sit in the sun by the pool. It is a brilliant location which is peaceful and quiet with outstanding views. We found the guide book particularly helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit this part of the world.

Amazing vistas and private property all to ourselves!
If you’re looking to get lost for a week or more, but still have access to all that northern Tuscany has to offer then this is the place! The views: amazing! The property: clean, spacious and very nicely appointed. The vicinity - basically its all yours! There’s no other houses or anything close by (a car is mandatory) but that’s exactly what we were looking for!
Although finding the place at first is a bit tricky, that’s part of the experience! Tony and family went out of their way to provide excellent “town by town” directions and we were smart enough to fly-in midday, so plenty of sun to find our way there. First impressions: pool - stunning, views - stunning, house - impeccably clean, drive up to house - challenging (but completely doable in any decent car).
Over the week we used this as our base and visited the Cinque Terre, Lucca and Florence by train (just 9 mins drive away), Pisa and drove into Emilia-Romagna as well! It was perfectly situated to get us where we wanted to go without much hassle and coming back to this bit of “heaven on earth” and a dip in the pool each evening allowed us to unwind after some interesting / harrowing drives.
There’s also a well documented book with all the local things to do, restaurants, activities, etc. they really have gone out of their way to make sure you’ll enjoy every second of your stay!
The ONLY downside was a concrete beam that seems to suspend just across the top of the stairs headed to the bedrooms that I repeatedly whacked with my head (I’m 6’5” tall) and almost sent us to the hospital one night (as it also is in the path to the bathroom). I might suggest a different colour or even a hanging item there that would remind us taller folk!
All in all - a spectacular week enhanced by the weather and our sightseeing trips! I have about 100 photos of the views from the property and a few will be hanging on our walls for the memories, back home soon!
I know lots of people say this, but we mean it: we WILL be back!!

Excellent accommodations
We loved our stay here. The home was beautiful and peaceful and had everything we could possibly need. Tony was great to deal with and provided lots of information about the local towns for us. We also loved having a pool to ourselves and used it everyday.

Away from it all
This was a beautiful property in a beautiful location. We had an issue on the first night with the outside lights not working but we emailed tony and it was sorted the next day by a local couple who look after the property. Although we like rurality we struggled for things like bread as it doesn't keep overnight and we had to be more organised or go out every day. The holiday was fantastic and we would recommend this property.

Italian Idyll
Our first experience of Tuscany was top notch. The Villa is perfect - plenty of room for a family of 4 with all home comforts. The pool was a wonderful treat and relief in the heat, and the welcome wine was a lovely surprise.
The surrounding countryside is spectacular and the view from the property is stunning.
Plenty of amazing flora and fauna on the door step and swimming in the pool whilst swallows swooped to drink around me was a great experience. We also saw plenty of birds, deer and think we hear a wild boar whilst walking the local trails.
There are myriad local day trip options - Pisa and Florence were busy but worth the effort. Cinque Terre was stunning but a little too busy for us admittedly in August. Lerici beach was a better beach experience for us - stunning views, golden sand and you can hire chairs or loungers. Local food options were delicious and great value. The cheese and meat shop in Metra around the corner from the restaurant (La Buffalo?) sold the most delicious mozarella and pecorino straight from the producer. Other great day trips were Equi Therme caves and lido, local lake (Lago di Gramolazzo) with boat hire at camp site, Lucca is stunning and worth some time. Just relaxing at the Villa and walking the deserted local trails / pottering in the nearby towns and villages kept us well entertained.
Many thanks for providing the base for a truly wonderful and relaxing summer holiday.

Lovely property with fabulous views.
The property was very clean, tastefully decorated, furnished and equipped and in wonderful
surroundings. The pool was warm and a beautifully situated with a fantastic view of the mountains and the night sky.
The villa is off the beaten track so be prepared to face winding, narrow roads for @ the last 5 kilometres and a long rough track on the property.
Lots of wildlife, including insects and lizards, although few mosquitoes and a sighting of a wild boar on one evening.
Lovely wildflower bank and also plenty of flowers.
I would love to visit again.

Great stay!
Really fantastic vacation in the mountains of northern Tuscany! The house, while having a small footprint, comfortably fit our party of 5. Clean and well appointed, the house enabled us to have a wonderful vacation. The hosts were kind enough to provide us with a couple of bottles of wine upon arrival- that’s a really nice touch. Would have liked the pool a bit warmer but it was April and cool at night so understandable. Quaint little villages all around that we enjoyed exploring. The views are priceless! A wonderful respite. Thank you!

An inspired home with glorious views and embracing seclusion
The only disappointment about Casa Falcetto is dragging yourself away from its idyll into the maelstrom of Tuscany's more frenetic parts. Great imagination has gone into designing a house that sits amidst a panorama which changes beguilingly with the light. This part of Tuscany is untouched by tourism, making it a unique haven. Nearby Pugliano is a curious delight - the 'pub', pizza and small shop all delightful. Every Saturday in August there's a community knees up worth attending. As mentioned elsewhere the pranzos are amazing in taste and value. Be warned, best booking Spino's near Reusa as despite its remoteness its very popular (closed Mondays) and for good reason. Also, Hotel Belvedere beyond Metra well worth a sundowner and evening meal. Cinque Terre towns in August is a bit like being funneled through a packed football stadium - but would recommend the Blue Marlin in Vernazza whose owner plays the piano bringing calm to chaos. The best bit was returning to Falcetto with the children playing endlessly in the pool, then sipping wine before tucking into a barbecue. As probably gathered, can't recommend this holiday home enough - it helped create one of our most relaxing holidays. Thank you Tony.

Quite simply the most idyllic setting and a villa which was everything we had hoped for, and more
We had a fabulous week based here and exploring the stunning countryside on foot and by car. If you are looking for total privacy, breathtaking views and a beautiful villa, inside & out, this is perfect. We will definitely be returning (something we never do). We were a family of 4, the pool was a real hit with the children, but there is plenty of space for 6 people. It got a little chilly outside in the evenings but we enjoyed watching some of the DVDs and playing games left for our use by the owners. Really comfortable beds too - it gets light by 07:00 so an eye mask was the only thing missing.

We had a wonderful week staying in this villa, and also recommend a visit to Lucca and the coast.

Herrlicher Ausblick rund ums Haus

A view to die for! Excellent base to visit the Garfagnana, Lunigiana region and Carrara coast.
Perfect retreat with the most stunning views.
A rather bumpy road leads to the cosy villa, where you can enjoy complete tranquillity, a heated pool and dining al fresco with fireflies dancing in the background.
Lots of interesting old towns to visit: a daytrip to Lucca by local train through the Garfagnana valley, Sarzana, Fivizzano, Pontremole and the old Carrara town centre and a visit by boat to the Cinque Terre coastal villages.
There is a new sophisticated BBQ, but for us, cookery freaks, the kitchen was rather unpractical with a smoke alarm right above the hob.
We found local people to be extremely friendly and helpful and it is worthwhile to taste the local products.

Views spectacular.
Very helpful and attentive owners.

Lovely quiet villa and fantastic pool with beautiful views.
Had a great holiday at this lovely rural villa. Stunning views from the good size heated pool we swam everyday and at night. Beautiful butterflies around the garden in the daytime and fireflies at night. Deer in the lower garden one evening. The villa is clean comfortable and spacious with everything we needed. We found the property easily following the owners directions. Track up to villa a bit rustic for anyone only used to city driving but only to be expected for such a lovely rural retreat.

Peaceful, scenic and beautiful taste of Tuscany with views that are amazing!
Thank you Tony and Linda for letting us stay in your beautiful house in Northern Tuscany. We had a very beautiful four nights stay with sunshine and birds singing every day. A car is essential but every journey you see something different from the amazing coastline and beautiful Italian ports to mountains and ancient towns. The roads networks are very good and the views are from the house are incredible - we hope to return very soon.
Best wishes

Lovely private villa
My partner and I had a lovely week-long stay at Casa Falcetto. We wish we had booked another week! It's very relaxing with breathtaking views over the mountains. The villa is well equipped with everything you need - everything has been thought of from a well stocked kitchen, BBQ, pool to insect repellent (not needed during our stay), replacement light bulbs, beach towels and linens, etc. The recommendations provided by the owner of nearby towns and restaurants to visit were much appreciated! We especially enjoyed Spino Fiorito, where we had a traditional, very reasonably priced dinner twice. We will definitely be recommending the villa to family and friends looking for accommodation in Italy and hope to return one day ourselves.

Peace and quiet in an idyllic setting
Idyllic is an overused word for holiday locations but the setting for Casa del Falcetto is really just that. Complete peace and quiet, amazing views, a beautiful swimming pool and an attractive house to set it all off. But you are far from isolated as within a 5 to 10 minute drive there are a number of really nice small villages most of which have a bar or supermarket and in some cases a restaurant where you can enjoy the local 'pranzo' lunch - wine, water and 3 courses for 12 euros! We could have done with a little more space in the kitchen but it would be churlish to criticise and there were plenty of other features which more than compensated such as waking up to the views from the bedrooms, lots of info and free wi-fi. The website description is very accurate and booking arrangements could not have been easier including comprehensive directions. Although the road up from Aulla after you leave the motorway does seem never ending it is well worth it and is only about 40 minutes. In any case, the setting is so lovely you will have settled in within minutes of arriving at the villa and ready for a truly beautiful experience.

Stunning location
We spent 2 weeks at this beautiful house with its stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The house was nicely appointed and very comfortable. My only criticism is that the kitchen area is a little small, but this didn't matter much because we spent a lot of time barbecuing. The house is quite remote and you have to drive to get to local shops and restaurants, but it's a fantastic location for a get away from it all holiday.
