Location was fabulous. Privacy was also great. Home was comfortable

Those who slept in the bunk beds said they were uncomfortable. The other beds were lovely. The home needs a dryer. Drying towels was very difficult with consistent rainy days. Washing liquids and a few other pantry items need to be stocked. WiFi should be installed.

The location was outstanding, as was the lovely yard space.

We complained about a number of issues (below) to the agent, who told us the owner will not make any changes to the property, and that we should be satisfied for the price we paid because this is a dated beach shack (which is not how it is advertised). - The stairs railings are dangerous for children under three or four - the distance between railings is too wide to be legal and children can fall through. - The BBQ is dangerous. The burners are rusted out so the gas just flows out uncontrolled and can’t be lit. - The electrical fittings are dated dangerous (especially the light that has ancient wiring and a plug into an electrical outlet under the stairs, and/or have multiple power boards (which get hot) and series extension cords in all bedrooms. No fittings seem to have been tested and tagged. - Something is leaking around the downstairs toilet. A small amount of water is leaking somewhere onto the floor there. - Many of the light fittings had blown bulbs when we arrived. We replaced six, including the two in the main room and the two in the upstairs hallway. This made arriving in the dark unpleasant. - There are no tea towels supplied. - The two oven mitts were filthy and smelly. - Several of the appliances were filthy. - The kitchen wall above the stove is greasy and dusty and has obvious long term grease and dust. - There were no single bed sheets. - Two of the pillowcases we needed were dirty (smelled of men’s hair product) and were under a bed. - The kitchen clock needed a new battery. - The bench top convection oven doesn’t work. - There was no interior broom or vacuum. We have taken the broom out of the garage and are using it in the house.

The location, the size of the unit, being allowed to have our dog there. Cleanliness and comfort of the house, well equipped unit five adults and lots of space for everyone.

The BBQ Main shower needs updating

Heating system,
