Great location, friendly receptionist at checkout.

Not clean (pillowcases smelled used, unpleasant sweat odor from another person?!, dusty room), leakage in bathroom, door to terrace could have been easily opened by someone outside. No airco, noisy (neighbors next door had a romantic night).

We had not been told in advance that the hotel was in the middle of major building works nor that the reception closed at 2. We were told of the latter by text about 30 minutes before our arrival. The closure of the reception was more of a problem on the day of our departure when we were not leaving Braunschweig until 3.

The hotel is clean and the staff is very nice. The hotel is in the centre and main attractions can be reached by walking. The breakfast is good and rich.

No reception at arrival, no information on parking, and ticket for staying in front of hotel, no information on breakfast time, no wifi working in the room except in the bathroom, rusty heater in bathroom, noisy hotel until 11PM, no expresso coffee at breakfast, only light American juice ...

Staff wasn't nice for us, my husband hurt himself in a bathroom and was bleeding (because of the sharp metal edge) and the receptionist totally ignored it saying that 'it has never happened before'.

poor breakfast. having in mind there was a code locker for the key we needed to call the property in order to get the code. TIP: the phone number from booking or web, nobody is answering it so better go to the property and call the phone number displayed on the door in order to get the access code.

Nice location, a well preserved building from the 15th century

Terrible pillows, uncomfortable bed. I had a hard time sleeping. No reception after 2pm. The breakfast coffee was bad, the hotel should invest in a proper coffee machine.

The hotel is situated in the center of the city, in a very quiet place. We had the hotel booked in advance and all the instructions were send to us in email (the door code, the key's place and all other necessary issues that one would need for a stay).

All was perfect and well organised.
