Comfortable bed, room had kettle and coffee.
Estsblishment is dated and tired. Shower was pretty cramped inside the plastic Motel style en suite pod.

The hotel is located in a beautiful small village surrounded by wineyards and hills. It has a lot of charm and character. There is a nice restaurant downstairs and a very good small park with picnic tables near it if you want to enjoy the sunset and the surrounding hills while eating. The staff was also very kind and helpful. The hotel is definitely not new but it is I think a much better overnight option compared to a new, modern, low-cost one that you usually use for a one night stays.
If you are after something new, modern and flashy it is probably not your thing.

In the Hotel there is effectively a small museum dedicated to champagne production with many antique tools and equipment.
It's getting a bit tired and could do with some updating. However the beds were clean and comfortable.

The rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was good with croissants and freshly cooked eggs. We also had diner in the restaurant and the food was very good. One person in our party is a vegetarian and despite the fact that there was no vegetarian option in the menu, the chef produced an excellent alternative.
As others have indicated, the 'bathrooms' are very small. They are molded prefab cabinets with a toilet, a sink and a shower, much like you would expect on a boat or a camper van. However, they were clean and functional and certainly sufficient for a one-night stay.

The location is good and the general ambience of the hotel is excellent.
We ordered the most expensive set menu €50 and made our choices on the three courses where choice was necessary. We then only received what we had specifically ordered and not the two courses where there was no choice (trou champenoise and cheese course). Although we mentioned this when the dessert arrived when we had expected the cheese, it was not rectified. We were only charged for the three courses we had but were a little disappointed not to receive the other two. What we di have was very good.

Excellent evening meal in the restaurant. Good friendly service from the waitress. Tournedos was to die for
On evening of arrival we wanted a drink from the bar before eating in restaurant. Waited ages to be served but totally ignored by barman who was talking to someone else. Didn't bother in the end.
Breakfast buffet selection wasn't worth €9.50. Breakfast room service was not good. Requested coffee pot to be refilled and fresh bread to be replaced but it wasn't done. There was a newly arrived large coach party in another room which I think was receiving all the attention.

The very good local restaurant was one of the reasons to choose this hotel!

Bedroom was neatly presented and modernised. Bed was large and comfortable.
Tea & coffee station in the bedroom. 👌
Eggs & bacon at breakfast.
Free good quality WiFi in bedroom - which is something lacking in France!
Bathroom needs updating.
Water was tepid rather than hot.
Evening menus were overpriced.

A hotel that is tired, little or no investment for a while. Room clean and well prepared. A F1 style bathroom, but not a F1 style price. WiFi intermittent and very unreliable and slow. OK but I doubt I'll be back

Great stop enroute to Alps - quirky yet clean and food is superb, we love it.
Breakfast is great value and will return next year.
As a bonus, their in-house champagne is brilliant value and great for gifting!
