Ich habe das erste Frühstück verpasst. Eine sehr freundliche Dame belegte mir später Brötchen und Brote und machte mir einen Kaffee. Sehr sehr nett.
Die sanitären Anlagen waren sauber.
Leider war meine Frau kurzfristig erkrankt, weswegen ich alleine anreisen musste. Dies hatte ich dem Hotel am Morgen des Anreisetages mitgeteilt und um eine Umbuchung auf ein Einzelzimmer und den Wegfall eines Frühstücks gebeten. Beides wurde sehr forsch abgelehnt.
Das Zimmer war direkt zur Straße gelegen, also nicht ruhig. Das Zimmer wirkte sehr oldschool, auch wenn es mit einigen modernen Elementen (Spiegel, Nachttische) ausgestattet war. Für den Preis von 130 Euro pro Nacht hätte ich mehr erwartet.

The owner of the hotel smelled like alcohol.
There were maintenance work next to my room, I woke up from hammering sounds.
The room I had, I was not able to open the window.
He gave me another, there I had no bathroom. He didn’t offer me a different price :/ I asked and didn’t get answers.

Lovely old building with a beautiful garden. Great breakfast, comfy, clean beds, great shower, good towels.
Excellent location for restaurants and just a short drive to the long, sandy, clean beach.

Can highly recommend and will use again. Plenty of FREE parking right outside the hotel or nearby.
Just mentioning it for light sleepers. The church bells (next door to the hotel, which was the vicarage) rings once every half an hour and then every hour = midnight 12x. It can be annoying or soothing, for us it was the later.

The hotel had a great courtyard to relax in after our bike ride from Amsterdam. There was cold beer available from the breakfast room at a very reasonable cost which we appreciated😀 as we sat in the sun. The owners very very friendly and accomodating and the room was great. Breakfast was very good from the salmon, meat , cheeses, fresh fruit and yogurt. There was also cereal and bakery products. This was a very well laid out continental breakfast. Excellent value for the money

The wall light switches were awkward to access in bed.
Parking was free but, the on street parking was a nightmare with trees overhanging the parking spaces resulting with bird droppings and leaves covering the car. On the plus side, the staff did let me use a watering can to rid the car of unwanted detritus !
