Staff were great....really, really nice and super friendly. Food was great and good prices. There were 4 of us.and we had an apartment that was a really good size. Nice village with some shops and everyone in the village is very nice and friendly. Easy taxi ride to everything on the East Bank...to get to Luxor City you need a taxi and then a boat across. The hotel will arrange all of this and at normal cost. Facilities are good and are what is expected for the really very good rates. The pool is big.... If you want to get out of a city and stay somewhere a bit quiet in a not heavily touristy place...then this is a great choice. Would recommend.

I absolutely adore the view from the roof terrace at the Nile compound. Mohamed, the main caretaker, was wonderful and incredibly kind.

The rooms are not very clean. E.g. mirrors with stains, dust. The towels had many stains, and the sheets didn't look fresh. After night 3, I noticed bites on my legs, arms, and hips. I thought it might be the mosquitos. Sadly, after night 4, it became clear that it wasn't mosquito bites but bed bugs. This was very frustrating, and the last few days have been a struggle washing everything, not to mention the extreme itching of the bed bug bites. I really hope the Nile Compound does some serious deep cleaning and solves the problem.

Hotel is in a very quiet area if Luxor. Staff is very very nice and friendly ! Food is very good. Special thanks to Mohamed Ali, he was very careful with us !

Such a peaceful and pretty hotel where you can recharge after a long day under the sun in their cute garden and pool. Very friendly and warm staff. The hotel is also tastefully decorated and feels secluded.

I think this is only one Garden Compond Hotel at West Bank of Luxor. The staff everyone are very kind, especially the Owner Mr. Mahmoud who spend more than 15 years for this Garden, and first 8 years didn't serve any guest. Even Mahmoud and team are welcome visitors visit their compound, enjoy their beautiful poor and Garden for a good stay at West Bank of Luxor.

Stayed here for 2 nights when i visited Luxor. The facilities are good, clean, comfortable, but what i liked the most was the staff. Everyone i interacted with was kind, ready to help with a great attitude. breakfast was good and when we had dinner we also enjoyed very much. Thank you staff for making me feel like home! The Nile Compound was exactly what we needed after a week travelling in Egypt. The apartment we were given was spacious, the restaurant food was good, the pool and roof terrace were great to relax and the staff were helpful organising our hot air balloon, driver and taxi.

We knew before we booked the Nile Compound was 2.5km from the ferry/bus stop. This means you have to book tours/drivers through the hotel at a slightly higher and set price because there are no other options. This is to be expected.

Nile compound was such a treat! Tucked away in otherwise hectic Luxor, you feel a real sense of calm here. You are surrounded by trees and fields The rooftop seating area was lovely for sitting in the evening with great views. The staff were all brilliant. The room was large, comfortable and had lovely decor. The swimming pool was a great bonus. Perfect way to end the day after a day exploring temples!

The staff as well as the owner were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a very nice garden, with beautiful flowers, in which one could relax, and a restaurant on site with decent quality, freshly cooked food. The room and bathroom were both spacious. The location, although a bit remote, is good to be more in nature, away from the hectic East Side.

The main issue we had was that the room was always very cold (about 15 degrees Celsius at all times). We had an air conditioning with heating capacity, but one cannot use it for a long time as it dries up the air (plus it cannot heat up the bathroom). This is probably because the room is facing to a direction where there is never sun, and it should be an advantage in the summer, but unluckily we visited in December. The one window had blue glass, which allowed very little light to come through, so when closed the room was very dark. In terms of location, it is unfortunate that even going to the ferry station is best done with a taxi.

If you consider booking an accommodation in here, don't hesitate just do it! It's hiden treasure. Most peaceful, warm and friendly place. Loved every minute of it. The view, the atmosphere, food and service was perfect. Amazing place. Rooms big, homely and beds are very comfortable. Walking distance to Banana Island and good location for other attractions. It was better then expected, it was perfect and will certainly be back again soon.

Very nice hotel with a delicious restaurant near of the swimming pool. Very big room and a big bathroom (one of the biggest we had in Egypt). Staff very kind and helpful in the organization of tours and transports.

Carrefull about the distance between the ferry and the hotel. Around 50 pounds for the travel.

breakfast was amazing, with lots of fruit, juice, eggs we were well fed. the room was really spacious and the bead was so comfortable. the staff were so lovely and easy to talk to and willing to help out with everything we needed

Peaceful place on the bank of the Nile away from the busy areas where you can relax. The grounds and views of the Nile are beautiful. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and happy, especially Ahmed (nephew of the owner) who was lovely to me and my son and really looked after us when we went to have a look around the west bank. The owner and his wife were also lovely and we felt very safe there. You can get food there and they can organise cars and trips. If you like walking, you can walk and get the ferry or one of the many independent boats across to the east bank. Although it is away from the sites of the east bank, it is quiet and peaceful and you will appreciate that at the end of a busy day of sight seeing and haggling. Would definitely return.
