I have been known as the “” Princess and the pea” as far as all things have to be perfect for me to be content “. When traveling this is forever my issue. Not only did David the owner , answer all my questions- with patience and ease- I found the cottage to be perfect for me. Air quality was excellent and the queen bed was so comfortable that I enquired for all info necessary to purchase a mattress exactly like that for myself. I have never been able to give an honest review of a 3 when renting before. This would exceed 5 x2 = a 10.

Very clean place

The cottage was clean and as described in the listing. Check-in was a breeze. Loved sitting in the sunroom looking out over the lake. Easy access to explore the surrounding islands and less than an hour drive to Burlington.

Very clen and comfortable cottage. Everything needed was provided. The view across Lake Champlain was beautiful even on cloudy days. Very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay.

Spent a week at Isle View cottage. The property was just as described and immaculate clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The host supplied lists of restaurants in area and places to visit. We were very happy with our choice.

The cottage was immaculate -- it felt like we were the first people there ever! Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen. House is not right on the water -- you have to cross a rural street and then descend to the Lake, where there are two nice kayaks and a canoe. Pleasant!

We stayed in the winter months. It was clean with a great view of the lake. It was very quiet and perfect for a restful getaway.bi wished i could have stayed longer. I will be coming back.

We loved how tidy and clean this cottage was, and we loved sitting and looking out at the lake. Great location, I would come back in the summer to enjoy the lake more!

Cabin #9 was a clean and comfortable home for our Thanksgiving getaway. We were looking for a place that was pet-friendly and the owner was kind enough to accommodate our two cats after I provided some information. We brought a lot of their things from home and they quickly accommodated and loved it, and so did we three humans. The neighborhood around the house was quiet and pleasant and right next to the lake with some great sunset colors across the water in the evening. The living room was nice to relax in with lots of windows to view the lake and deck. In the late fall, the area is not too exciting and at least a 30-60 minute drive to any attractions (small convenient grocery store/gas station with excellent homemade soups right nearby, though), but it looks like it would be a fun place in the summer and the sunsets might be in a better position too. I had two complaints—one is that there is only one large gas furnace for heating. It’s perfectly adequate to heat the entire house, but the heat was not evenly distributed and it was hard to maintain the right temperature throughout the place. Some electric baseboard radiators in the bedroom might be preferable; however, I doubt that this place gets enough winter activity to make the construction worthwhile. Another issue that could be more easily corrected is that the blinds in the bedroom don’t block the morning light at all. I had to hang a blanket from the window frame to be able to sleep without excessive morning light. The beds were quite comfortable, though. Overall, the minor issues are not significant enough to remove a star; for our purposes (a well-priced, pet-friendly vacation rental away from the city), it was perfect.

We come to Vermont every year to celebrate my birthday. We hope to come back here next year. Great location, quiet, beautiful sunsets!

Our stay was excellent. The cottage had everything from supplies in the kitchen (dish soap, garbage bags, paper towels) to great chairs on the the deck. The cottage was recently updated, extremely clean, and the beds were comfy. The internet worked great for streaming videos and doing work. Having our own washer and dryer was convenient. A small convenient store was down the road that had sandwich meats, vegetables, and other supplies. A full grocery store was about 25 minutes from the property. Plenty of trails to hike in the area and shore line to fish. The owners are super friendly, accommodating, and live in close proximity to the cottage. A gas grill was additional plus for grilling in at night. Lots of places to explore as well. We will definitely be back and we are already spreading the word to our friends.

My wife and I had a great time renting here. It was perfect for what we were looking for. A place to disconnect and just sit back and relax. The view across the lake was amazing and each night we got to sit on the deck and watch the sunset. We would definitely return and have already started looking at next year to see when we might be able to do that.

As my title states this property was very comfortable, very clean and accommodating. The host was very thoughtful and listed places of interest in the area for us. The beds were so comfortable, and the area was quite. We all slept sound. The location was quiet and had great views, the only con to this property is it didn't have great access to the water. Overall it is a wonderful place to relax with family/friends on Lake Champlain. We will be back for another visit.

My boyfriend and I (and our pup) loved staying here. The views were incredible, the host was more than accommodating and friendly, and the area so fun to explore. We look forward to returning again, ideally for a longer trip!

This sweet cabin had everything you could want or need - the view was tranquil and expansive, the amenities (including washer/dryer and dishwasher) were outstanding. Nearby dunes were lovely. I suggest arriving early the first night as the roads can be quite dark.

My entire experience involving Isle View Cottages was wonderful. Owner Dave was responsive, helpful, and friendly. The cottage itself was lovely, and fully equipped. The sunrises, sunsets, and moon rises over the water and the fields were astounding. Alburgh Dunes State Park is within a pleasant walking distance or a very short drive. The surrounding countryside never lacks for beautiful areas to explore! I highly recommend Isle View Cottages and I look forward to returning there.

We love the cottage - we have stayed for the past 2 years. The front room with the windows is spectacular. The kitchen is well stocked and the appliances are fairly new. Bathroom and bedrooms are comfortable as well We love going to the beach a mile away and cruising the area. I'm sure we will be going back next year!

We stayed at this house for a long weekend. The house was in the perfect location, right on the lake. The listing was 100% on point. Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

The location was stunning and so close to the Alburgh Dunes State Park (which my kids absolutely loved). It also made a great location from which to explore both the Champlain Islands and New York. If the border hadn't been closed, it also would have been a great place for day trips into Canada. The house itself was very cute and well cared for. The deck overlooking the water was amazing, and the kitchen had all the pots, utensils, etc. that we needed. We appreciated the DVDs and games as sometimes we couldn't stream movies, but we were able to make it work most of the time, and the Wifi worked great for checking email, etc. This cottage was also a great spot for our dog, who loved looking out the low windows in the front. I would definitely recommend this cottage. Dave and Lucy are wonderful hosts!

What an incredible place! Between the incredible sunsets and the peacefulness, it's a place where you can recharge. Dave was fantastic and provided everything we needed to know about the area and the house. My 14 year old girl is already asking when we can go back!

Very clean, located close to state park.

Very nice experience, lovely cottage near the lake well furnished. Super sunset. Outside there was a lot of bees…. They are not aggressive but be careful not to be stung. And we had neighbors with a loud radio, that they turned down when asked. Check out time was 10 am would have been lovely a bit later for a Sunday. Other than that perfect place.

Such a beautiful little get away this place is. The view of the lake to wake up to everyday is better then just staying at a hotel. The sunsets you get to enjoy while eating dinner, or sitting on the porch enjoying a glass of wine. The home was very clean, and had literally everything you needed. My husband and I cannot wait to come back and stay even longer!

We had a great stay. My daughter loved the beach that was down the road. The beds were so comfortable. There is nothing bad to say about this cottage.

Whether you want to curl up with a book, bike ride or participate in water sports- Isle View is the place. We did it all. The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 and dog. It was clean and stocked well. David and Lucy were exceptional hosts providing us with information about the area, allowing us use of the mooring out front for our boat and adding on the dog at last minute. Communication was easy and it was a pleasure meeting them both.

We booked this cottage for a weekend away from NYC. The cottage was VERY clean, beautifully renovated, surprisingly spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend! The kitchen is well-stocked and has pretty much everything you may need. Let's not forget the amazing view of the lake!    David (the host) was friendly, helpful, and ALWAYS available. David shows consideration for the guest by providing things such as laundry pods (with instructions!) and dishwashing detergent which no one remembers to pack. I loved the electric candles too- great touch! I would recommend this cottage to others planning to visit the area. 

Beautifully renovated and appointed! What a wonderful view! Our hosts were very accessible and helpful. Dishes, silverware, pots and pans were just right and the spice rack and the farberware kitchen knife and utensil lazy susan were a pleasant surprise. The clothes washer and dryer were greatly appreciated as we were heading home to a power outage! We are already talking about returning!!

The property was clean and nicely updated. It had everything we needed for a nice 3 day weekend. The kitchen was well stocked for eating in. Having a washer/dryer was nice too. The lake and Isle LaMotte views were beautiful. And we went to the state park beach twice - just a mile away. Check-in/checkout went as smoothly as could be - no issues. Wifi was decent enough for our needs. Even though there we a few other cottages nearby, it was very quiet. We hardly saw anyone. The small road out front is lightly traveled as well. We would stay here again.
