at Purple House you have amazingness all around. This included, but was not limited to, Johan the owner who was a star, quirky rooms with all necessary amenities and a welcome note on a chalk board outside the room. A breakfast to set up the heartiest of Appetites and an environment of great Beauty. a memorable experience to say the least.

We loved the creativity and originality of this super comfortable and friendly establishment. My personal best was sleeping in a dam (!!!) cleverly converted into a large guest suite and both my partner and I unanimously rated our breakfast as excellent value and delicious. We also really appreciated our host's willingness to share his vast knowledge of the area.

A small item only which is to replace the broken mirror in the bathroom (for us superstitious ones :))

Johan couldn't have been more hospitable. We arrived after driving through a horrendous storm and the whole town was in darkness (no electricity from the storm) but thankfully the accommodation has a generator so we felt very lucky that we'd booked. It was such a welcome relief and we had a fantastic night's sleep.

Johann and his dog were very friendly. The king-size Cloud 9 bed was amazing! Also grateful for the WiFi.

The only thing I didn't like was not knowing where to go when we first arrived.

Breakfast was supper. Very accommodative. Beds are sooo comfortable. Linen is super clean I love super clean linen and that is what i got. Johann make you a special guest

Poor value for money. No outside seating area. Only 2 sachets of coffee! The lighting was not great.

False advertisement for things that are not there (viz, bicycles, coffee machines, etc, ) , excuses for the absence of the cleaner, no drinking water but an empty 5l plastic bottle.

Johan is such a wonderful and welcoming host who makes you feel right at home. In fact, he makes you feel like you have met one another before. There is everything you could need, it's comfy and relaxing and there are all sorts of wonderful details in the decor. The bed was SO comfortable! Johan cooked us a fantastic breakfast - definitely recommended. He also recommended some places for dinner and checked that they could accommodate us. Even though it was only an overnight stay, we had such a wonderful visit and will definitely stay again when we head that way.

The recommendation to go to the bowling club for pizza! Great hospitality and good facilities.
