The house was really nice and spacious with two bathrooms. The owner was quite friendly and helpful. The view was spectacular, you could see the sea from the house. The accomodation is in a village in the mountains behind Levanto. People in the village were also quite friendly. There is a garden which is a 200m walk from the property, you share that with the guests from another house that belongs to the same owner. We did not really use the garden. There are church bells at different times of the day from different villages. Very scenic! There is no shop in the village, all provisions need to be bought in Levanto. We really had a great stay and would recommend this property.

Parking is a bit of a challenge... Come with a small car if you can...

Lovely house. Very helpful landlord - he even picked us up from the station to show us around the property. Beautiful area, charming village, sound of church bells a regular thing.

Our one disappointment is that the advertisement said that there was a terrace and balcony. Reading this, we assumed that it was attached to the house. Our plan was to spend a lot of the holiday sunbathing on this terrace. The pictures were clear that the balcony was very small and we only really used it briefly in the evening when it was not in the shadow of the house. In reality, the 'terrace' is a garden that is shared with another property (also owned by the landlord) and about 100 meters away - a walk up an alleyway past about 10-20 houses. It was away from the house and not maintained in the way that a terrace attached to a house would be (the only time we used it, it was completely covered with ants and there was a lively wasps nest - after a few stings we decided to stay away and we didn't use it at all). Because of this, our sunbathing was moved to the town - we had to go in every day and pay (50 Euros for the four of us!) each day to use the public beaches in Levanto. We didn't have a car so this involved lots of bus journeys. It is a really nice house in a really nice village, but it was the terrace that clinched it for us when we booked it and we would have booked something else if we'd known. I think that the advertisement should make it clear that the terrace is away from the house in future.
