It was absolutely beautiful and a great location 🌸 Had a perfect little wine bar and restaurant with food made by an excellent chef 👨‍🍳

everything was good.

situated on a bluff overlooking the valley at Turrialba, the views are lovely from the reception/restaurant area and a few of the rooms. we had a room below the aforementioned, which was much more private (bonus), but lacked said views (not a huge deal since there is a restaurant patio to go to); we did have our own private porch, which was very lovely, especially at night. The room was clean and spacious enough, but the bed was fairly uncomfortable (to be fair my husband and i are in our 40s and i have back and hip issues and my husband has shoulder issues, so this may not be an issue to some; also, if not an extended stay one could surely deal with it). The price was fair relative to surrounding properties (really in all of Costa Rica that i've been). The property is near Turrialba, where one can whitewater raft and find other activities (i highly recommend a trip down the Rio Pacuare). It is not really walking distance to town (maybe, but there doesn't seem to be a good route - maybe ask if there's a trail, but coming back will be all uphill). There is free parking on site and we had no issues with that. The thing that stands out about this property above all else is the restaurant!!!!! The service is phenomenal and the food...there aren't words that haven't been dulled by overuse to describe how great the food here is!!! They really go to lengths to provide local, artisan dishes...and omg the drinks. we dined here about 5 times and each had something different each time - i can't even recommend a dish because it is ALL incredible. i can say that the margaritas are delectable and the sangria is the best i've ever had - she even gave me a spoon for the fruit salad that was in the drink. i watched the server create each drink with so much care that even though i wanted so many more i didn't order more than one per visit because it was so "labor intensive"!

The room was spacious and nice. And breakfast was excellent - fresh - and everything was made from scratch!

The winery attached - the food and the wine was very good. The view in the morning. The staff was very friendly

The lock at our door was not working (room 2). It wasn't a big issue in the end, because we were the only guests, but it should be fixed to guarantee some more privacy. Also the sealing was quite dirty and needs a deeper cleaning. The entrance from the main road is a bit tricky with a sharp corner coming from Turrialba and steep incline, but doable. Wifi broke up a few times

The view was incredible and combined with the extreme friendly staff, we had a wonderful stay. The restaurant which belongs to the hotel is very good and served us a delicious dinner.

The bed could have been a bit newer as it was already a bit worn out.

Rooms could be better equipped for example no place to hang your clothes. Can hear folks in other rooms. Also noise from work in the neighbor’s property early in the morning was annoying.

The hotel was easy to find with a large sign so it was a welcome respite for us after our red-eye flight. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The property is in a beautiful location on the hillside above Turrialba and our room opened up to a deck overlooking the valley. In the morning, we were served a wonderful breakfast of items grown in their garden and eggs from their hens (included in the price of the room). The owner was welcoming and accommodating of our every need and I just wish that we could have stayed longer!

Spacious and comfortable rooms, beautiful views, great service. A perfect spot outside of the hustle & bustle of Turrialba.

It can get pretty noisy at night with the highway, neighbors, roosters and dogs.

Excellent location, breathtaking views lovely hosts, delicious breakfast & dinner, convenient free parking, fast & reliable WiFi, quiet in the night with nice cool air. Perfect starting point to explore Turrialba Volcano.

Very nice place with amazing views! Everything clean, food was good, also nice location.

Unfortunately, the staff can only speak spanish, no English and the room was a little bit cold during the night. But still it was worthy because of the view!:)
