The place is amazing, an old, beautifully restored manor house with a vineyard. The breakfast was very good, with fresh and local ingredients. The staff was friendly and the wine was delicious.

No chairs and umbrellas in the garden. They could make more out of this beautiful mansion .

The property is a working vineyard and winery. The manor house was restored beautifully, with fine furnishings and decor. Our suite and bath were immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good, fresh and plentiful. Sofia, our host, was charming. She gave us a tour of the vineyards and winery and we enjoyed tastings of the wine. Of course, we bought some to take with us.

The character of the 17th century family mansion was stunning. The property has been professionally and stylishly restored. Due to the effects of the COVID-19 virus, we were the only guests staying, yet everything ran perfectly and the individual attention was first class.

There are no facilities for an evening drink - wine or coffee. However, as long as guests know this, the lovely town of Moncao is very near - and we can recommend an excellent wine bar called Republica, on an attractive newly developed town centre square.

Wonderful staff and very beautiful hotel!

The rooms were located in a very traditional Portuguese building, but at the same time were very comfortable. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff, and were spontaneously offered a perfect glass of wine.
