Location was good, staff were nice, room was a good size.
Room stank of BO… I thought it would air out but after a while I realised it was the wallpaper and chairs that smelt!? It must’ve been a smoking room and the smell has percolated in the paper and chairs for years. Carpet was very thin and stained. Have the overall impression of being very grotty. Basic budget toiletries in the bathroom. No lamp. No extra comforts. Only one window opened. There are lots of simple things that could be improved in this hotel. The wallpaper needs to go and the chairs need steam cleaning!

Location is okay, near to airport and public transport. Liked that they had a lift in the building. Standard room had enough space for two travellers
The room was very hot in the summer, there was only one tiny mirror in the bathroom. When we asked for a full length mirror we were told to use the small full length mirror on the 1st or 2nd floor. We were on the 3rd floor and found it a ridiculous suggestion to keep walking up and down the stairs to look into a dull length mirror. Bathroom was smaller than what I'd expected from the photos.

The room was clean and suited our needs - comfortable bed/shower. The location was pleasant, not too busy but still providing good access to the city.
Access to the hotel relies on the 24 hour reception, which is fine except for when the member of staff on duty wanders away. This wasn't a huge deal as he was only gone for ~10mins, but did leave a queue of people waiting outside in the early hours.

Cozy, comfortable, perfect for Amsterdam get-away. The bed was super comfortable. The area is full of amazing spots.
No closet in the room

Very well located and close to many restaurants. The room had a beautiful Van Gogh style wall and a nice view of the street.
At Booking.com says it has a parking, but only when you scroll down it says that you have to park at the street and it costs 6 euro/hour!!! So, IT DOES NOT HAVE A PARKING. The closest parking place is at least 20 min walking.

Location
TV didn’t work, very small family room, tried to charge for something we didn’t purchase, soap holder broken.

Elevator was not working and stairs are very steep

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Good location.
The elevator was not working and we were not informed about this before hand. Stairs are an issue for us so this would have affected out hotel choice had we known.

Great location, amazing food and drink options nearby, friendly staff, very modern room and comfortable bed.
Barely anything to fault here.
Only issue we had was the shower water ran into the middle of the bathroom, but was minor and easy fixed with one of the ample towels to soak up.

Very clean hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly. The location is good for the price as it's not in the centre of the city but had good transport lines, making it very accessible. The curtains were black out which was very helpful when we were having a lie in.
Bathroom was on the smaller side but it was manageable

Great location, walking distance to everything. Staff were super friendly and helpful, always happy to answer our questions. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Shower was quite small. Curtains were sheer, solid fabric curtains would have been nice. Elevator was broke while we were there but staff offered to carry our luggage upstairs.

The location was as I expected.
Really expensive for what it is. Pictures of the rooms were a bit misleading - they were pretty small. I paid for the most expensive rooms but they were not as what was represented in the pictures AT ALL. Then, due to an airline issue I had to shift my reservation for two nights forward one day (two rooms, two nights each). I changed it on booking.com as the person said I had to, then called to see if it was possible. She had to check a few things and actually called me back twice and confirmed that my reservation was changed. When we checked in, we were told they only had one night available. They did the rebooking for the same two nights! We had to find another hotel quickly and found the Alexander, which was cheaper and much nicer. All in all not a good experience.

The room and bathroom were spacious.
Only 2km from the city centre so we took the tram which is 3-5 mins away to get to the city centre if we didn't want to walk.
I don't have any complaints.

staff was really helpful and good. our room was clean.
rooms were small and there was no table in our room. it was hard to put everything to a chair and bed.

Dated room

Staff where as friendly and helpful as you could ask for. Room was clean. Slightly but good transport links and easy enough to get to.
The only negative was that the cleaners came into the room, despite us putting the do not disturb sign up as we where still in the room getting ready when they came in.

I liked everything except the heating. Unfortunately heating got shut off sometime during the night and as a result I got a cold for one week. :(
but if this had not happened I would rate this as great.
heating got shut off during nighttime - resulted in me catching cold and being sick for 1 week.

Very nice and clean place to stay in Amsterdam :) Tram stop near to the hotel, and a lot of restaurants around this place are big advantages of it. Check in and out without any problems, staff kind and friendly. We recommend this place. :)

The room was small, but really clean and nice! Would come back again.

Very helpful check in staff. Comfortable bed. Spacious and clean main room. Good location.
No facilities such as jug in room, shower made whole bathroom floor wet. Very tiny bathroom. Uncomfortable pillows.
2.5
Lovely quaint hotel, friendly-ish staff.
Shower pressure was nice and bed comfy.
Staff need to be trained on how to use systems correctly. Found some very standoffish and not very welcoming. Asking to purchase a simple drink and getting questioned as to what room you're staying in and your name etc.
Cleaning standard massively needs improvement, noticed so much dirt buildup in the shower in particular, especially on shower heads etc. Had to clean myself which is not on when you pay good money.
Location is nice however and close to tram stops. Just not worth the money we paid for a "deluxe" room. Just includes a pair of uncomfortable chairs and a meh view.

This is a fantastic small hotel in an interseting area, a few steps from a canal. It looks as if the hotel has been renovated from top to bottom recently and it is now very stylish. My single room was small but extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and with a great view of the street scene. There is a tram stop at both ends of the road giving easy access to all parts of the city and there are plenty of places to eat along the street. The staff were very helpful. This will definitely be my base in Amsterdam for future visits. The price is great in this expensive city!
Everything was perfect.

Location is good and was pretty easy to get to/from airport (train+tram). Bed was comfortable, although pillows were very thin.
It was a very pokey room that was not particularly clean or well looked after. The coffee table was damaged on top, had wobbly legs that made it barely usable and many of the surfaces and edges of things (like the coffee table) were sticky. The shower was wedged into a corner facing the toilet and had a minimal screen that barely blocked off the vanity, leading to an entirely saturated bathroom by the end of it. Also not soundproof at all. We just had a quick overnight stay so didn't need much from the room but would not recommend for any stay that you'd be in the room long. Pictures listed on the site don't reflect the experience and room we had.

It’s close to my flat.
The room is smelly. Someone smoked here. It’s smelly in common spaces as well (but it’s not tobacco). Bathroom’s door handle fall off as soon as I’ve tried to lock the door behind me. Plug fall of as well then I put a charger in it.
Minor thing but still: uncomfortable pillows.

The location is good, the city is incredibly free-spirited. Everyone is nice and helpful. Thank you for the experience. The whole feeling of living is both scary and wonderful.
