Unangenehmer Geruch im Flur, Betten durchgelegen, Teppichkante abgerissen, Store zum Teil abgerissen, Schimmel in der Dusche: im Großen und Ganzen renovierungsbedürftig. Beim Abendessen statt Schweineschnitzel Geflügelfleisch!

Der var koldt - ingen hygge og…. restauranten/ hotellet var lukket ( restauranten havde kun åbent 12 - 14 om søndagen ).
Vi havde forventet en god wienerschnitzel og en fadøl 🙁 måtte køre ca. 7 km for at få noget ordentligt mad - det var måske ok, men ikke efter vi netop havde kørt omkring 600 km

Location enroute from Denmark to Italy
We stayed at the hotel in 1996, and nothing had changed. It is a little outdated. The one bed was damaged and therefore not comfortable.

Breakfast is good and plenty. Dinner is very good. The staff is very friendly and speaks English.
The building is old but is restored very nicely.
The location is good, especially if you want to visit Bergen-Belsen. It's quiet..

The breakfast was great, and I enjoyed the peace and quiet of my room. The room was renovated and very clean and comfortable.
I made a remark in my booking that I was coming with my dog and I got a message from Booking.com that my request was confirmed by the hotel and it would be free of charge. However, I was still charged 5 euros per night for my dog. The staff was adamant that they had not sent any messages to me and that it was Bookng.com who responded on their own. As a guest who makes bookings through Booking.com, I should not need to know business arrangements between the site and the hotels, but I do need to be able to rely on a confirmation that I get from Booking.com on behalf of a hotel. This is a glitch that Booking.com has to sort out because this kind of miscommunication between a hotel and Booking.com has now happened to me more than once, causing unpleasant situations at the hotel and higher expenses than initially stated.

The rooms are quite old fashioned and need some attention. Especially the bathroom is outdated (green tiles, really?). The service was good and breakfast really awesome.

The location was ideal to explore the south of Luneburg Heide, Bergen-Belsen and also the very pretty town of Celle. The Landhotel is typical of this traditional style of hotel. The room was comfortable and of reasonable size. We had dinner at the hotel and elected to have local dishes. They were generous and made from locally sourced produce - delicious. Breakfast was good and the buffet well laid out. The staff were very helpful and courteous.
The shower in the room (RM1) had a decidedly strange smell which could not be masked or eradicated. We alerted the management to this hopefully it will have been seen to!
