Location fantastic, room fantastic

The view and porch from our seaside room was the best ever. The staff were also very friendly and our room was a great size.

The breakfast was not very good and the rooms seemed old.

The hotel was right on the waterfront next to Castello sul Mare and, apart from the magnificent views, it was so easy to walk to the restaurants and cafes, the ferry and the train station. The view from our room looking out over the castle and the bay was absolutely fantastic! The staff were always very friendly and helpful.

There is no iron at all in the hotel - they don’t own one and don’t allow anyone to bring one and use it. This was annoying when I wanted to iron crushed clothes from my suitcase. There are a lot of mosquito breeding in the river next to the hotel, and this meant we couldn’t sit on the balcony for extended periods or leave our balcony doors open. The hotel did supply a plug-in mosquito repellant however when we said we had a problem with the mosquitoes.

Many of the staff especially in the restaurant were arrogant and rude.The hotel advertises special dietary needs and has no gluten free dishes for vegetarians on the menu. The room was a downgrade to the booked one and that without any explanation about it. The temperature could only be set centrally from the reception because the regulator in the room obviously no longer fulfills any function.parking spaces -there are a few in front of the hotel, but I wonder who may use them, because you can stand there as a guest only to load and unload.Maybe the staff uses them or „special guests“ who know the owner? One must therefore try to find a parking space on a paid parking lot or with a lot of luck in a side street and even more luck you need that the vehicle remains intact by these options. There was also a really disgusting smell in the bathroom.A kettle and some coffee and tea on the room could be expected by the prices you pay there. Of course the view was great, but this can not outweigh everything mentioned above. I can‘t recommend this hotel.

The only thing we enjoyed was the service given to us by Waldo.

The relation between price- and quality doesn’t make sense. we paid a lot of money for bad service, dirty rooms, infested with mosquitoes and staff who didn’t want to help. There was no electricity and I had an allergic reaction to the mosquito bites and when I complained the hotel didn’t make themselves responsible for the inconvenience. We were very frustrated at the lack of attention to the clients comfortability.

The corner rooms with sea view and balcony are exceptional from a viewing perspective. It's not big by any means but its more than sufficient for a couple of days stay. You wouldn't need more than that anyway. Also it's very close to the train station, the beach and the city center are in walking distance

A little fridge would've been useful.

Amazing location, super friendly staff, clean & comfortable room. Upgraded for sea view and definitely worth it!
