Good location ,good food ,friendly staff

Location is beautiful. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Bath and shower which suited both of us .

The room was quite dark. It was December 17th when we arrived during the day. I have heard since that The Majestic have refurbished the rooms so l look forward to staying there again. The reception area was welcoming with helpful staff and plenty of seating .

Breakfast was great could do with a quicker toaster

The young staff were very helpful, polite and made us feel welcome. The location is very nice. The breakfast was spot on.

Well first off I normally book and then pay at reception after comfirming the reservation on booking.com. But this time the receptionist told me it had already been paid for out of my account (investigation is starting on this with my solicitor friend). The coax cable was hanging from the socket out of the wall. When asked reception I was told the maintenance person was gone home (it was just gone 4) and she had no help or other room so I had to fix it myself. Old fashion set up of room. Bathroom was very small with a walk in shower that should have a warning or instructions on it as its a hot and cold piped shower that you have to adjust manually to get the right temperature. Food at bar was terrible. The salad took up a tiny part of the corner of the plate and the food was frozen fish and chips. Small insects in bathroom and bedroom floor. Not worth the money. It needs a total revamp. Staff and I mean the young staff were brilliant. Older staff were very not as welcoming.

Unfortunately breakfast didn’t start until 8:30am which is absolutely useless for anyone who is on a business trip and needs an early start.

lovely staff, broad age range of other residents, what I really liked was that there wasn't any messing on the corridors at night, no running about or loud shouting. a fridge for the yogurt would be nice as it was in ice the carton was wet and sticky. the pancake maker wasn't working which was a disappointment for the kids.

the food in the bar was excellent but the tables and floor were quite dirty.

The staff made the stay they were so professional, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, Arlene at reception was always there with a big smile and helpful with every query. The food was delicious and the rooms clean and comfortable I would definitely recommend this The Majestic Hotel as it is situated in a lovely location 👍🤩
