We had a perfect experience. The hotel is located in a more quite and authentic part of the small village of Abrãao, while only being a few minute walking distant from the beach and all restaurants/bars. Our room was very clean and had all the needed equipment. The best part of our stay was the friendliness and hospitality of the owner Ricardo. He gave us good advice on everything hiking, beaches and gastronomy. Finally he even organized the shipping of a headphone I forgot in the room back to my flat in Rio, which I received the same day! I strongly recommend anyone who visits Ilha grande to stay in this wonderful place.

They tried to help us with all our little problems. Rooms were nice and in a quiet surrounding. We had a nice view into the garden.

Bed is a little small for 2 people.

Ricardo was a great host & the place was lovely - we ended up extending our stay twice! It’s located a 5 minute walk from the pier and all the restaurants, shops and bars. Ricardo was very helpful in organising tours and transport. The aircon and fan were a life saver and the room even had a smart tv with Netflix!

Our stay at the pousada Costa verde was amazing ! Ricardo was really welcoming and gave us advice about what to do on the island and tips about transfers to our next destination. Not only that, he also took the time to explain many things about Brazilian culture to us. I highly recommend !

Ricardo and his wife are fantastic hosts! Friendly, professional and relaxed. The Pousada is well located, a short walk from the center in a quieter part of town. Decoration impeccable. I can strongly recommend this place!

We loved the staff. I believe that’s a family owned property and they are very welcoming people.

It doesn’t have breakfast ( most of the brasilian hotels offer breakfast), the accommodations were more simple than we expected, and the street where the pousada is located had some garbage around (the pousada isn’t responsible for this part, but still..)

The property itself is beautiful and clean, the beds are comfy and the shower is warm. It is located nicely so you can quickly get to the center but also can get a quiet nights sleep if you need. The host is beyond amazing and made our trip particularly special. He helped us book transfer service to and from the island and had many good recommendations. On our final day our water taxi got us back late and he took our bags down and met us at the pier to ensure we made our transfer back to Rio. we couldn’t of asked for a better stay on the island and we will definitely be back as soon as we can. If you are visiting Ilha Grande you can’t go wrong with booking Pousada Costa Verde.

The property was a short walk from the centre, meaning it was quieter than staying central, but still very easily accessible. It was a quaint, Mykonos type vibe - very homely with cute decorations.

Nothing - I would recommend this place to anyone coming to stay in Ilha Grande - the host Ricardo was the best thing about the entire stay, the most helpful, kind and lovely man we have met on our trip through Brazil so far.

Very helpful host, easy check-in, quiet location, close to restaurants and beach, clean, nice view of the mountains from the balcony, the shower had hot water. All good.

Pretty much loved everything, the location (and of the street, which makes it nice and quite), the staff and the room. All great value for money.

I can’t really think of something but if I have to mention one improvement; the somewhat loose electricity cables of the shower head did feel slightly scary.

The staff was very helpful especially the owner Ricardo, he was always there to tell us about what routes to take for hiking or what else can be done at the island. He went out of his way to make out stay as comfortable as possible. The location was great, and is totally recommended. Without the advises we got, we wouldn't be able to make the most out of out trip.

Very clean and spacious room that had a tv with Netflix. The pousada is in a quiet road but only a very short walk away from all the restaurants. The owner was super friendly and gave us loads of recommendations and info about the island.

Ricardo is the greatest host he took care of all our needs. we needed medical help and he took us to the local cliniqe arrange all the registration and helped with the translation. the room is well decorated and cousy.

This is a great family run place. Ricardo gave us all the best tips for the island including good walking routes, pristine beaches and restaurants to cater for veggie and vegans (as well as meat eaters) and were genuinely lovely people. It made our visit to Ilha Grande unbeatable!

Great location away from busy street but close enough to reach everything in less than 5 minute. The property is clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are simple but satisfactory. The owner was super helpful to give us all information about the island and organized the boat trip for us.

The property doesn’t provide breakfast which was little disappointing. Perhaps a facility to make your own coffee or tea to make up for the inconvenience would be a nice gesture

Veronica & Ricardo were extremely helpful and wonderful hosts. They made sure to help with booking tours, recommending restaurants and hikes to do around the island. The room was very cozy and clean. Everything was perfect!!

Ricardo and his family were so welcoming and gave us so much help with the best way to explore the island and advice for restaurants making it a really special stay for us. The Pousada is just a 2 minute walk from the main area but felt really quiet and relaxing! We wish we could have stayed another 5 nights! Thank you Ricardo!

Costa Verde is extremely clean and homely. The host - Ricardo is a true gentleman. He speaks multiple languages and gives fantastic advice on what to do on the island. I would recommend Costa Verde to anybody thinking of visiting Isla Grande

Ricardo and his wife are the loveliest hosts you can imagine! They were always offering their help and gave us precious advice regarding activities on Ilha Grande. You can also have a nice chat about the history of Ilha Grande, Argentina, music, computer science ;) or random daily stuff. We booked the Quadruple Bedroom for two persons. The room was very clean (daily cleaning included), bright and spacious, and it was well equipped (WiFi, Netflix, air conditioning, ventilator, fridge). You don’t get breakfast at the Pousada but you get some discount at a cafe down the street. Ricardo speaks English fluently, his wife understands French and both speak Spanish. We would definitely come back and recommend this place!
