The location is good for subsequently travelling around the island. La Cotiniere itself is a little quiet, it being early season. The room decor was very modern "beach style" and fitted the ambiance well. Although we didn't use the pool, the area looked very clean and friendly. Excellent facilities to keep bikes safe and secure overnight.

Cost of drinks at the bar seemed a bit expensive - bring you prices down and actually attract customers!

The bed was huge and exceptionally comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, easy walk into La Continiere, you can also walk to Saint Pierre which took 35/40 mins and there is a bike path making it super easy.

Great buffet for breakfast, very nice pool and location at the ocean.

We got a room right next to the reception so we didn't get as much privacy as we did with our previous stay. However, by booking a room with sea view this issue should be solved (this is what we had last time).

The hotel is wonderful. Beautiful setting, lovely staff, great breakfast, wonderful pool area.

The rooms need air conditioning for the prices charged . Everything else very good but when it’s too hot to sleep then it spoils an otherwise very nice hotel .

We have stayed in many hotel is various countries and this was by far one of our favourites! The location is superb, the hotel grounds wonderful, the room beautiful, clean and comfortable, the breakfasts lovely and all the staff friendly and helpful - even the gardener bothered to identify an orchid species for me! The decor and attention to detail throughout is super and everything is spotlessly clean. Did I mention the location - right on the beach with fabulous walks, views, rock pools to investigate.... Perfect!

A few more days spent there!

The location was outstanding, we had an ocean view room and outside our patio was a natural area of around 50 meters and then the ocean. Beautifully peaceful! Dog friendly hotel, the room seemed to be newly renovated and was very clean.

The hotel grounds are pittoresque, really beautiful and well landscaped, like a private community. The hotel staff is exceptional, very helpful and friendly. Bravo! The rooms are nice sized as are the bathrooms, with tasteful, welcoming decor. Parking for guests on both sides of the hotel. Lovely swimming pool and its surrounding area. Breakfast is good and correct, eating area lovely. The hotel is situated on the ocean side, lovely view, however, it’s not a beach you can sit on or bathe in, it’s on a rocky place. Great hotel for families and children.

1. I didn’t see that there was no air conditioning when I booked the room. In July and August, when temperatures reach 30° + , it’s terrible without air conditioning. Unfortunately, we couldn’t sleep well. It was really uncomfortable. It was hell for my 74 year old father. The room was equipped with a small column fan, extremely insufficient. Of course, we needed to open the window at night because it was impossible to sleep with the heat, however, even with all the lights out, which meant my father couldn’t watch TV, the lovely landscaping in front of the rooms brought in a lot of insects. Even with 3 bottles of mosquito repellent, we were EATEN by mosquitoes while trying to sleep, or the alternative was to suffocate from the heat. With a good fan/ventilation, the mosquitoes couldn’t possibly fly around as they are too lightweight , proof of how insufficient the small room fan was. No matter how lovely the place and how nice the staff- because they were, clients pay for comfort and good sleep, and we didn’t have it. 2. The beds each had 2 pillows and a cushion, all of them too hard!! This is such a simple thing to remedy. It added to the uncomfortable situation. I would have given this hotel a 10 if there had been either air conditioning or sufficient ventilation and a softer pillow to sleep on. I recommend this hotel, but not in July or August.
