Fantastic staff. Greeted with a Canadian flag flying outside and a coffee first thing in the morning. Utah, Shaune and Ivan went out of their way to make sure everything was spot on. Even Jaffles the dog was friendly. Beautiful place, immaculately maintained. Full of character and in a good neighborhood too.

Lovely historic property. Excellent bed, great atmosphere overall. Quiet, nice little outside area. Excellent hospitality, very helpful hosts, nice area, walking distance city centre, many restaurants close by. Delicious coffee and good quality breakfast.

We could have stayed longer....

We had a wonderful time at the Tintagel Guest House. Coming to Cape Town for the first time we received so much support that we easily found our way through the city.

A very well run hotel , in a good position for the many available restaurants within walking distance . A special mention to Ivan ( the owner ) and the two outstanding managers Utah & Sean . Nothing was too much trouble, one of the reasons I choose small family run guest houses is the service .

Tintagel was everything we had hoped for and more. full of colonial charm and history. As you step through the doors the rooms lead to courtyards shaded by vines, a mature quince loaded with fruit beside small tables set thoughtfully here and there. we loved everything about the property and wish to stay no-where else in Cape Town on any future visits.

Utah's greeting of tea and biscuits! Lovely house, very comfortable, great breakfast. A short Uber ride to the waterfront. Restaurants and bars 5 mins walk. Only there for one night but felt very welcome. Sean was very helpful

Staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was delicious and healthy and fresh. Location was excellent, just a few steps away from lots of good restaurants. Bed and bedroom was very comfortable and had everything I needed. They were very accommodating.

Great location near a safe street to go eat in the evening. great hosts providing good advises, very good breakfast and room cleans with a beautiful traditional style.

Really enjoyed our stay in Tintagel. Our hosts were very friendly, helpful and engaging. We have learnt a lot about the city’s culture and history through our conversations and had valuable advice on what to do. This is a beautiful restored 19th century house in a central location with pretty inner yards. The hotel is close to plenty of great restaurants in a pleasant neighbourhood, also easily walkable to more central areas of CT. Good breakfast and very comfortable bed also to add.

The host was welcoming and engaging. The location is excellent. The room super comfortable with quality linen. And the best breakfast set up ever!

I had a wonderful time. Had wonderful conversations with Utah and the owner of the guesthouse. Their hospitality made me come back a second night when I had to return to the city. Beautifully restored heritage home. It's also located very close too many inner city activities. Would highly recommend this guest house.

Lovely restored house. Very comfortable and easy walk to most sights in town wonderful managers who were very helpful with suggestions on what to do and where to eat.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Really quiet, very comfortable, and historic. Ivan, Sean and Utah are wonderful hosts, and were really helpful. The breakfasts were the best we’ve had anywhere in the world.

Staying here is like staying at your friend’s home. Nothing is too much trouble. The place is immaculate and gorgeous - the chandeliers, the courtyard. The food is delightful. But the staff are the real gem. I enjoyed staying here so much I went back to stay another night later in my trip.

Loved our stay there. Perfect place and great people taking cear of you. We well go back there.

We loved our stay at Tintagel. The staff and owner were so friendly and informative about the area. The house is absolutely perfect and it has been restored to its original glory with some amazing artworks and furniture. The breakfasts were really good and well presented. Will definitely be back.

The only negative was that there was no inverter for load shedding but lights and candles were left in the room. The plus during load shedding was that there was WiFi. There are no TV's in rooms so one would need to bring ones own computer for watching Netflix etc, although most of us were exhausted after long days of seeing the wonderful sights of Cape Town.

Everything! special thank you to Ivan and his crew for making our stay as great as possible. Very friendly staff and we felt in love with the Victorian design. Great location, we came by car and it was very easy to get in and out of Cape Town.
