the location is just perfect. a stones throw from the main town and a 5-10 min walk to a beautiful beach
the staff are wonderful but very busy/rushed off their feet. couldn’t get a dinner booking with them as they’re booked up weeks in advance (we weren’t told)

Carparking - the tree felling meant that we could not use the car park, but there is plenty of roads with free parking available.
The room was tiny with too much furniture in it. We had to move the chair to open the wardrobe and could only just walk around the room. Then a relatively large bathroom but no where to put wash bags etc - we put them on the floor.
On our first morning the waiter at breakfast seemed really rushed and a little annoyed that myself and all the other guests wanted to make a quick breakfast order - we were dressed all in black in preparation to go to a family funeral, and did explain this to him. The second mourning - a different waiter was excellent.
We did eat at the pub and it was really excellent fresh food. Most of the staff were also really lovely and professional.

We had front facing room which was very noisy on from the bar below and beer garden outside.

Room was opposite kitchen building which had a bright light on all night also lights on garden fence which made bedroom illuminated through curtains, I need a dark room to sleep well.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. We were helped with our bags to the room and they were always willing to help. The hotel is in a great location close to the beach and a short walk to the shops. It is very clean and well presented. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good with excellent poached eggs and served quickly by attentive staff.
The access to the rooms is stairs (no lift) and not suitable for the elderly or those with mobility problems but we knew this before we booked and we coped but sadly this would deter us from booking again.

In the record breaking high temperatures, the room was un-sleepable, despite the fan that was provided. The fire doors prevented any through draught that might have helped.

Accomodation needs updating double glazing on windows, maybe a small fridge in the room. Apart from that room was a little small as we needed to request a camp bed for myson to sleep on.

Breakfast and bar meals vey good. Excellent location for beach and shops. Next to a nice river inlet with boating and ducks.
