Aside from a glitch with the garage door opener (which someone at the other end of the line was able to work around for us at 9:30pm) the stay was great. Counter to the instructions for our stay, this home is fully stocked with everything as if it were your own home. And the outdoor spaces are outstanding -- we literally spent all of our time outside aside from sleeping. Many thanks!

The property is a comfortable home in an amazing area. The driveway is a little tricky to find after sundown. Our travel was delayed due to weather so we were a day late checking in so I would definitely recommend the travel insurance if you are flying into Durango.

We had a wonderful time in Durango area, The house is unbelievable, did not need anything, house is well equipped with everything you could possible need. Very Private, creek running through the front yard half covered in snow, and the sound of water running was really nice, the yard, the pond in the back yard, all the room outdoors to walk around and enjoy. We had mule deer come down from the mountains behind the house and walk in the back yard, Wow, what a site! While we were here we rode the Durango/Silverton Train from Durango to Cascade Falls, enjoyed the scenery! Drove through Silverton to Ouray, stopped along the way to site see, Grandkids played in the slow at the Molas Pass Summit elevation 10,910 Feet (not much air up there). We also went to Mesa Verde National Park, enjoyed that very much. I'm not into to snow skiing but there several placing to ski in the area. There is so much to see and do but never enough time. Over all we had a great time and if ever in the Durango area again would delinitely try to stay at Paradise on Coon Creek again!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this house. 4 brother's and wives. Beautiful views off lovely patio with a stream and pond. Pay attention to directions as a little tricky to find. Comfortable beds except for 4th bedroom full size bunk beds. We knew that from the description and pics. It was the best choice in the area for our group. I'm sure fine for kids but not for older adults :) I would recommend the owners replace the dingy, frayed towels.

Everything was as described in listing . Little tricky finding the driveway to the property initially but minor detail. Everything was comfortable & beautiful inside and out !

A warm and inviting home away from home. Lots of room indoors and out for hanging out together or getting a little solitude. Master bedroom suite is huge. Other bedrooms seemed a bit tight by comparison. Drive to Durango is easy when you want dining options. PJ’s Gourmet grocery & liquor store is much closer and has everything you’ll need. Hermosa area offers great access to outdoor recreation.

Kid friendly property. Perfect for rest and relaxation.

Our party of eight had a wonderful time at this property in September. The grounds were spectacular. The large pond and a creek running right through the property created a very serine setting. The interior was inviting with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped and the views were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. The only negatives were many of the bath towels could use some replacing as they were old and threadbare and they could supply a few more kitchen trash bags. Other than that, it exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay there again. Also, be sure to read the supplied directions to the property before you get there, or you’re sure to miss the entrance.

Overall the property is unique, well maintained, and comfortable. Does need a few updates in kitchen and bath/laundry. Enjoyed the quiet evenings spent outside by the creek and the pond.

Our family of seven from all over the country had a great time. Beautiful home and incredible grounds. We couldn't have asked for anything better! We miss it already.

Great house for a good time near Durango! The stream through the property was a plus as well as the pond! Casement windows allowed for the fresh mountain breezes to cool entire house. It was the perfect spot for us to use as a base to explore the region. Can’t wait to return!

Renting this property couldn't have been easier. There were immediate responses to any questions or concerns. All of the directions were very clear from how to get to the property, enter the house, and requirements while staying and departing. My family had a wonderful time and the sound if the creek flowing outside just added to our relaxation and enjoyment!!!

Property Upsides: - Beautiful location nestled in between the hills of northern Durango - Swiftly running creek located on the property that will keep the kids entertained for hours - Pond on the backside of the property that adds a great addition to the scenic views - Wonderfully stocked/provisioned house that comfortably housed all 10 of us - Excellent property management team that was super responsive to all requests and inquiries - The house is situated perfectly as you can't see any other houses from any of the wrap-around porches - Three different eating locations: the eight-person dining room table, the six-person kitchen high-top table, or the three-person bar in the actual kitchen - Large driveway that can accommodate multiple cars Things to Consider - All bedrooms are on the upper level (note, my mobility challenged father-in-law could navigate the stairs as there are sturdy handrails) - The living room has a sofa, a recliner, and a comfortable rocking chair. Seating more than 4 while watching the lone TV on the bottom floor requires putting folks on the floor All in all this has been one of our favorite properties to stay at so far. Definitely an amazing property.

Great location for golf ,fishing, skiing. Nestled next to a creek in private spacious area. Very peaceful!

We came for a long weekend with our extended family. We had 10 people including 2 kids under 6 in tow so we wanted plenty of room to spread out. With perfect Memorial Day weekend weather, we spent lots of time on the back porch and in the yard, enjoying the beautiful views of the nearby trees, mountainside, and the private pond (plus the kids took advantage of playing in the grass). The house was beautiful inside as well gave us plenty of room to hang out when we weren't outside. While we enjoyed the secluded-feeling location out in the country, it was still pretty easy to get back into Durango or head up to the hill to Silverton. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect getaway. It's actually perfect for our particular needs. Space for our dogs to run, against a mountain, and quiet. The location is a bit north (8 miles or so) and perfect distance to Durango shopping, sleigh rides/horseback riding and Purgatory ski slopes. Watch for spotty cell service.

This property is tranquil and very picturesque! There is plenty of room for friends and family to spread out. With the Creek in the front yard and the pond and fire pit out back, there is lots to do outside as well.

We wanted to get away and it was a great retreat from the city. Would highly recommend t to families with small children!

The house is spacious and comfortable, with a great kitchen and plenty of living areas. The location is beautiful, with gorgeous views of mountains and trees every direction you look. The creeks and pond are beautiful. We had our two grand-children with us and they had a blast running around the yard and property. The location is (pleasantly) isolated, at the end of a private road, but only 4 miles from a shopping center and grocery store. We did not want to leave!

My family absolutely loved the Coon Creek property! There were 8 of us and there was plenty of adequate room for all of us. The grounds were just beautiful. I specifically looked for a property with water/moving river on the grounds and my expectations were met! The pond in the back area was a added treat as well. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent this property again in the future. I rated the property as overall excellent, with a few areas I had to rate good because of: Cleanliness: Some of the dishes and silverware were not completely clean with food still on the silverware and soap residue on the dishes and cups. (I realize the dishwasher just doesn't get all the food off sometimes.) Check in and Online Listing: My only real complaint is the difficulty of finding the property. The street address is all I received online and the directions that map apps give you for the address of this property are just not accurate. I know an app's directions can't be helped, but would like to suggest that the complete directions instructing how to get there should be sent online to the guest instead of just the street address. That's it though, minor problems. Loved the property and would definitely recommend for a visit to Colorado.!
